To Whom It May Concern:Southwest Power & Light has every right to pursue the Early Termination Fee, as the customer has a responsibility to adhere to the terms of his contract With that said, Southwest will waive the ETF if the customer promises not to re-enroll with Southwest at any time in the future The representatives that were verbally abused by the customer have families and deserve better than to be verbally abused by a customer that did not read his contract. Thanks,Southwest Power & LightCustomer Care

To Whom It May Concern:Mr. [redacted] has been a long time customer of Southwest Power & Light and we appreciate his business.  As part of his service with Southwest, Mr. [redacted] enrolled in budget billing.   Budget billing is when the customer requests a monthly amount to be paid for his...

electricity, based on his previous years usage, divided by 12 months.  This allows the customer to avoid the spikes of usage in the summertime and in the winter, and the provider can bill an "Average Bill" to try and capture the amounts to be used in the year ahead.  As there is no way to perfectly forecast a customer's usage into the future, each customer is subject to a "true up" at the end of their term to determine if the prior year's usage was above or below the actual usage for this year.  Southwest performed a "true up" on Mr. [redacted]'s account and discovered that Mr. [redacted] had been under billed over the last several months.  The resulting balance for all usage received and not paid for was $611.33.  Given the high amount of the "true up" and in the spirit of customer service, Southwest would like reduce the balance to $500, a savings of $111.33 over his actual balance.  Further, Mr. [redacted] has the option to split the remaining balance into monthly payments (on top of his regular budget billing amount, as recalculated).  The expiration date for his current term is August 9, 2016.  This gives us a period of 9 months for Mr. [redacted] to break up the balance into monthly payments of roughly $55 per month. If this is acceptable to Mr. [redacted], we will issue the above mentioned credit against his balance, and set up the additional monthly payment amount to address his outstanding balance.  Please let me know if you have any question.Sincerely,Southwest Power & Light
