According to the Website you and your ex determine the timing of the process not a judgeThe website also states that differences should be resolved and every thing complete after or meetings or the Attorney's can walkBecause of the extenuating circumstances of my chronic health issues the process took longer than normalThe first four meetings were taken up with finances and were called by my ex and his attorney leaving only one meeting left to address the divorce , compensation and distribution of the propertyDuring the process I had to take school down to part time because of my health and at that time both attorneys began to become irritated with the length of time it was taking and I was reminded about this oftenPrior to the last meeting the Attorney representing my ex sent an email that I received by accident advising my ex to restrict my payments ( Outside of the Collaborative Process) Apparently to intimidate me and force me to get a jobI was just out of school, had health challenges and I was the primary caregiver for our childrenI was accused of stalling despite the fact that I offered a letter from my physician and was trying to get a jobAnd last but not least my ex submitted a proposal forcing me to respond with a Counter Proposal that was rejected at the encouragement of his AttorneyAt that point I had no money left and non of my concerns were specifically addressedMediation was offered but by that time I lost trust in the processIf you want a quickie Divorce and you have a cookie cutter situation this might be the place for youBut if you have extenuating circumstances such as an illness and have been a stay at home mother or anything else that might complicate things, take your business elsewhereAt times I was treated very rudely by both attorney'sMy ex and I got along much better before signing on to "Seperating Together." If you are the one at a disadvantage coming into the process you will need stronger representationI am not sure how people can come to an agreement when the majority of the meetings were about finances and you have a limited number of meetingsIf your issues are strictly financial then it might workIf you need help and want to attorney who is dedicated and represents only youThis is not the place
