Review: After I received a flyer in the mail about a lawn service from S&S Lawn services, I contacted them and ask them to get a quote. In few days, I got a quite in the mail. The quote was for lawn care to cover 7,900 sqft. I was interested in the service and the price per sqft, but I didnt agree with their measurement. I called the office and ask them to send someone else to do the measurement because my lawn area is about 5,000 sqft only. I have gotten many quotes from lawn care provider previously and all of them were around 5,000 sqft. Few days later, I got the same quote again. I called back and I explain to the office manager that I measure the area myself and its 5,000 sqft. I need another person to come by place and do the measurement correctly. I was told that someone will be over in the next few day but nobody showed up.I believe the practice of this outfit is questionable. They provide a low price per sqft, but they inflate the measurement.If this outfit was legitimate, they would have send someone over and prove me wrong. They prey on people not knowing what is the area of their lawn so they can gouge them.Desired Settlement: I just need this outfit to come over and provide me an accurate measurement of my property because Im interested of buying their services.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: S and S was engaged to mow our lawn weekly and we agreed to a contract that also stipulated the grass was to be bagged weekly. The quote was based on that request, however, the grass has only been bagged 1 time. I am seeking a credit on our invoice for the other weeks that the grass wasn't bagged.

The main complaint is during the last mow the lawn crew damaged a weeping cherry tree we had planted in our back yard. Bark was stripped off of the tree as well as the tree being cut into. The damage wrapped around approximately a third of the trunk and is bark that is ripped off is roughly a section measuring 6 inches in height by 3.5 inches in width. S and S wrapped the tree, which is fine, however they stated that if the tree died they would "address that at that time".Desired Settlement: Desired outcome is 2-fold:

1. A credit on our invoice to reflect the weeks the grass was never bagged

2. A letter from the owner of S and S (who has never returned any phone calls though we requested that he call us to discuss) stating that if the tree dies within a year period - July 2013 to July 2014 that S and S will replace the tree with a comparable sized weeping cherry tree and pay for the installation.
