RE: *** ***, CASE #:XXXXXXXX
Dear *** ***
RV Express prides itself on resolving customer complaints with our customers, therefore a third
party arbitrator is not necessary
RV Express was notified by the customer before it left our lot that the windshield had a crack in itOur Service Manager went with the customer to see what her complaint was aboutThe Service Manager determined the crack was a stress crackThe unit was in our shop for damage due to hitting a rock in their motorhomeThe damage was minor in nature; the body damage was low on the passenger side behind the cab of the Class C motorhome (van style) front endThe windshield had a crack toward the upper driver's side, approximately feet on the opposite side of where our technician workedOur Service Manager suggested that the stress may have happened when the motorhome incurred the body damageThe customer said there was no way the hit rock was the cause and refused to claim on her existing damage claimWe're not sure how the customer knows for a fact the stress didn't come from the body damage? Note: A small stress crack can grow larger over time
In conclusion, RV Express will not be held responsible for loss or damage to a vehicle or articles left due to fire, theft, accident or any other cause beyond our control
RV Express would promptly call a customer and acknowledge any damage we may have caused and promptly apologize as wellWe would also assure the customer that we would take care of any damage we caused at no charge to them, Make no mistake about it! It is unfortunate that this customer has taken this stanceRV Express will maintain its stance that we are not the cause of the windshield damage
PSNote to the Revdex.comI find it ironic that a customer's personal identity cannot be used, but a customer can accuse a business by name, whether they're right or wrong! A business named wrongfully is slandered, which causes harm to that business, but the customer gets some satisfaction with no consequences? Please correct me if I am wrong in that thinking
Sincerely,
*** ***

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/01/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When a customer is wronged there is nothing we can do about it but make a complaintWe did not hit a rock, it was wood that damaged the corner of the doorThere was no impact the stump was barely out of the groundI was very slow turning in my yardThe crack in the windshield was not there when we took it inAs was examined by both partiesI get no satisfaction in this and as for consequences I still get a broken windshieldI just felt it would be dishonest to make a claim on our insurance as was suggested by their representative, since it was done by themIf it was stress related then it was done by their shopI just feel it is poor business not to acknowledge their wrongWe are the ones wronged hereI feel bad complaining I never complain but this was just not fair
