I am rejecting this response because: My husband and I were never shown any block that were a different color on a pallet in our driveway. If this was the case you must be saying yourself there is a big different in color. The $that was not paid to this company was due to destroying our lawn. The last three weeks we have spent many hours trying to get grass to grow and buying more black dirt to fill the holes the job squad has left for us to fix. After all the work that we have already put in and many questions we have had from our neighbors we feel it should have been $1500. We did tell Job Squad if he gave us the $we would not replace the wall right away because we would have to save up more money to replace the wall but did not feel comfortable with them doing it (he left that part). After reading this correspondence we are not interested in having this company change any of the wall and will not be meeting him at Menard's We would need to take time off of work to be at home at all times while they were working on the wall as we do not trust this company any longer. When they completed wall we were not able to see the difference in color of block because they were full of mud because they had already had to take the wall down once and start over as the wall was crooked when done. When asked about being crooked they said we will show you by hanging a string it is straight. I came back outside minutes later and they stated yes it was really crooked we will have to call the owner and see what we should do. They took down the complete wall and started over At this point we would like $back so we can save and have the wall replaced by another company in the future. This company will still have been paid $
The Lord bless *** and her familyThis project had many challengesIt was one of the wettest spring on record which created a muddy messy situation, also the contractors working on the house delayed our starting on this wall section because they put a large pile of dirt in the middle of where
our wall was being built and we had to wait for the contractors to finish the deck to know how to build the landingThey were putting in a footing when they were building an addition on the house that was were the dirt came fromAnother challenge the denver sienna tan beleveled block was shipped from two different Menards stores because they didn't have enough block at one MenardsUpon building of the wall Mike our foreman on the wall noticed about block was a slightly different color and talked to the customer and they were fine with that when shown the block on a pallet in the drivewayWhen completing the job they were happy with the wall that is now the issueThey also took it upon themselves to subtract $for watering the area we put dirt in and seed were our bobcat was directed to go from the customer to get to the building of the wall in the back of the house.Last challenge they decided to not pay me for pavers we put in the amount of $and a landing from the deck they added to steps we built. days later I received a call on Friday June 17th, saying that some of the wall block was the wrong color I shared that I had talked to Menards and the retaining wall block are all Sienna but each block is mixed in a different lot of 10,blocks at a timeWhen a new lot of 10,block is mixed they are a slight different Sienna color and Menards would not do anything to change itAccording to Menards the block will all be the same color within a year. She was not satisfied with the answer so I went to Menards and brought her one tan block, one gray and one SiennaShe had mentioned that some of the block looked tanAfter she looked at the different colors she realized that they were both Sienna and said either I take the entire wall down and replace all of the block with new block that is all of the same color or give her $I asked her if I gave her the $would she replace the wallShe said not for a while but sometime in the futureWe are now planning on meeting on Wednesday at 8am and going thru all the block needed for the job to replace the wall in questionI would prefer to only replace the block that is a sight different color instead of the entire wall can we do that?
Thank you for your response the Lord bless you in all you do. We have offered to replace the blocks in the wall with a slight difference in question. The customer was happy with the wall color and the structure of the wall upon completion. 12 days after the project she call me with an issue about a few wall block of which were a slighly different color then the rest of the wall. In talking to the general manager of Menard he said even if a customer special ordered the wall block there is no guarantee that every block will be the same color. This is sienna and it come this way he said. Mark said you can call him at 507-454-5712 and he will help you understand. Even with this fact I shared with the customer that I would be willing to try and match the few block that are slightly different on the wall until July 5th, 2016. Menards also said with time the block will look the same. Attached is a picture of the wall in question. Sorry about this issue I have no control over Menards and the block colors that are mixed. God Bless, Greg
