I am **, a tailor in *** WisconsinI have been in business for over years.There are different people in this story, besides myselfThe first was a young woman who came into my shop in AugustShe had two old, 18xthrow pillows and a piece of yellow fabric with birds on itShe asked me
if I could replace one side of the pillow with the yellow fabricI explained that it really didn't work that way; that the original pillow would completely separate, come apart and have to be re-made anyway, to incorporate the new fabricI further explained that there maybe some components that would not be reusable for whatever reasonAge, holes, wear etcShe said that was fine and wanted that at least one side remain the originalIf she asked me for an estimate I did not hear herThere is a sign in my shop that says "If you're concerned about the cost ask for an estimate." I don't normally call with an estimate in that I can provide it on the spotNo money was left as a deposit or down paymentI have received no money on this transaction at all.A few weeks later a message was left by a different individual asking if the pillows were completed and to call if/when they wereI made them the next dayThere were 1/hours of time in each of the pillows to tear them down, cut the new fabric, cut and make two yards of the trim that went around each pillow, insert zippers, sew and finish the interior edges so as the insides wouldn't fray and separate, and re-stuff themThey were completed on 8/24/2017, and a call was placed to the number I was provided when they were dropped offThe labor cost was $for each and an additional $each for the supplies I usedThread, cotton piping and new zippers, and yes fabric for new backing as well, in that in my opinion, the fabric on the pillows provided was unuseableI want to be clear that the original pillows were broken down and what could be was incorporated into the new pillowWhat could not be was discardedI thought I had permission to do that.The total cost for the new pillows was $76.50, and sales tax in the amount of $4.28; $total.On October 13, 2017, person called my shop asking about the pillows and how much they were if they were doneI gave her the total of $80.78, and she wanted to know why it was so expensiveShe argued that I did it wrong, and that I did not provide an estimateI held firm with my pricing, stating what I just did about the time, work and materials usedShe thought it was outrageous.At 4:pm she came into my shop, did not want the pillows and left mad at me because I was not going to reduce the billShe returned a few minutes later and demanded I pay for the materials provided for the pillowsI asked how much that wasShe asked for $and I gave it to herShe left and returned yet againThe was another person screaming on a cell phoneShe demanded that I rip up the pillows and give her the materials backI said I was not going to do that; that it would take over an hour, and that I thought I had just paid for the materialsShe aid she was going to call the police and the Revdex.com.So, in conclusion, I have lost over a hundred dollars making these two pillows, in labor, materials, and time spentNot ever once did any of these individuals actually look at or physically inspect the pillows I madeIt was all about the price and how expensive it wasI didn't think that it was grossly expensive at all given the quality of the workmanship and of the finished product

The issue has not been resolved. KC Creations still has our personal property that was used for another project without our permission. We would like the original pillows to be returned to us.
