I was in a tragic wreck and my car was taken for evidence and left at mentioned tow yardI went to get it and walked in to the office trailer with the proper documents to get into my car to establish owner ship (something I made SURE of with the operator before going in)
I witnessed both employees so high and drunk they were slurring their wordsstumbling around, incoherent, beligerent, so drunk they were staring down my shirt not blinking I took a recording of the open container as well as marijuana ON the desk as well as him admitting he was so intoxicated he couldnt help meI was trying to get him to release my car to me but he was so drunk he kept asking for what I has handed him
I called non emergency and tried to get assistance from management which is a husband and wife out of there homeI let them know the man was drunk and moving cars around the parking lotBut they gave me NO helpI thought this was a joke because of how absurd things wentI called the next morn

I was involved in a multiple car collision on 12/ODOT called tow companies to tow different carsMine being the first in the pile up, got taken firstI had never been in a car accident before and was so shocked by the accident, I didn't think to even take anything out of my car except myself and my year old and my wallet which was attached to my keys
We gave the company verbal permission to let our insurance company come do an adjustment on the carThat happened on the thursday following the accident (the accident occurred on sunday afternoon)We went on Saturday to get our belongings (we both work m-f full time), and not only did they want to charge us $to get our things, we showed up and to our surprise the tow company had released our car to the insurance company without our permissionYES we gave permission for someone to come look at it, but not to take itIt took until monday calling around to find anyone who knew where our car was
Monday I went to the place where the car was taken to, only to find it with a broken window (which wasn't there from the accident) glass all over the backseat, belongings throwing into a black garbage bag, belongings/change scattered all over the floor, a missing checkbook, missing change, missing Christmas presents (that were for my year old and an year old family friend), and missing wax toilet rings (who would steal those?!)When talking with the auto auction place they said they always tell people to contact the tow yard if there is missing items as they do not do anything with the car
I contacted the tow company that day 12/and was told to speak with Lee as he is the one that deals with stolen itemsMy fiance and I have called Lee almost everyday since and he is never there and has never called us back On 1/i looked up Newhouse and Hutchins towing on Revdex.com and found the owners email and explained my whole situationThey are a very unprofessional company and it's inexcusable what they have put us through
I finally got an email back today, from the office manager, Patti Johnson, essentially saying they are not responsible for anything and she "apologizes for any inconvenience" my "accident has caused" meThere was absolutely no apology for anything their company has done, the lack of communication on their end, for releasing our car without our permission, or for the items that were missing
Everywhere I read about this company, I see complaints from peopleI even found one on facebook where a woman had her speakers and amps stolen in September, possibly by workers there, and they refused to do anything about it
DO NOT USE THIS TOW COMPANY! unless you enjoy your items being stolen and them claiming they are not at fault
