I am having extreme difficulty trying to contact the company with my updated relocation information. no one is responding. I want my money back.
I attached the contract with my moving estimate. I originally contacted the company on 2/8/2019 for a relocation of my property items from Tallahassee to Bradenton. An estimated price was determined and I made a customer payment of $1538.00. The construction of my condo was delayed several times and I was able to contact them once about a new estimated delivery date.
I have been trying to contact the company for a week now several months later and keep getting invalid email addresses and no valid phone number. I even went online and tried using the website information to contact them with no response. At this point, I want to cancel my contract with Rightway Movers and get my down payment back so that I can find a moving company that will work with me and respond to my queries. I need to find a new moving company by December and need that money from the down payment to pay for it.
I want to cancel my contract with Rightway Movers and get my down payment back in order to find another company that will work with me!

The 2 people I spoke to were liars. They claimed to be a retired military. Took my bank info, collected the money, and never showed up to move me. For a week prior to the move, I couldn't get them on the phone. My calls & emails were not responded to. Now when I call Vianca automatically hangs up on me.
Other (requires explanation) see Attached document S full refund of $5,748. I had to hire a different company.
Rightway rcv'd $1,509 in Dwn Pymt (9/3/19) not credited to the contract & was paid a second time to receive delivery. Want refund & overcharge comp.
Contact/Contract: Needed short notice CA to OR move. Unable to book local or NAME carrier, busy season. Found Rightway (RW) online as Top 5 Best Mover. Contact based on website's service descriptions & culled cust. Comn'ts.
Descriptions & pics say RW is 'trucks & crews' CARRIER, not service BROKER. Website is bogus, false advertising.
RW's Mark Stevens (MS) called 9/14 to estimate & $$ move,
Order#: ***.
50 - 70 thorough & cautious mins spent answering MS's questions, what's moving from where to where?
Told him INCREASE/OVERESTIMATE for several reasons.
#1: Emptying 3 packed spaces, did not want surprise add'l charges mid stream. Fixed income, & ltd family help make extras difficult to pay.
#2: Spoke often of move's many NON-trad'nl, atypical aspects. Am multiple Arts practitioner w/little furn, no appliances. Normal hshld items, clothing, books, kitchn, etc., & ALSO many creative tools, & raw materials, woodworking & 'lumber yard' in partic. + life collct'n of art works. MS assured RW understood needs, wld do quality job.
#3: MS told 4+ times 'MOST of what is moving was contained in 'jam packed' storage unit, boxed stacked tight & hi on 3 level platforms & rolling carts using near all space in 10 x 18 x 12' height unit, (2160 cuft).
Binding Contract est, "Pro prepared by RW's expert," for "full packing & full service & pickup b'twn 8/26 & 28," emailed by RW Aug 15th, priced job at $9,527.05 (for 1,913 cuft). w/DwnPymt of $3,509.00. Did not have full amount on 15th, would in 2wks. Stevens OK'd 2 pymts & took $2,000 (Pd. 8/19/19) & 2nd pymt of $1,509 "when money comes in at the end of the Month. (Pd. 9/3/19 AFTER PICKUPS)
2 pymt plan wasn't communicated to Rightway Mgmt or entered in Contract. Second payment $1,509 never credited to account.
Paid $1,509.00 twice t'get Delivery. Refund demand accurate & justified.
Pickups: Subcontractor Best Moving Van Lines of Santa Clara, CA (BMVL) arrived as notified (not identified) 8/27 in rented Enterprise truck clearly too small for full load, w/wrong BALANCE DUE (+$1.509 unaccredited DP2) for the cmplt contract. "Pro" crew hired that AM @ Home Depot parking lot, where HD labeled boxes were purchased for $1.9K "full packing" service. 2 of 4 laborers spoke little English & had no packing experience. Driver could not manage crew well not being bi-lingual, very fast moving, quick thinking or precise.
NOT advertised "Pro service" I was sold.
Worse, had no choice but to accept, mid-move-out of 10x18, (AFTER loading Mobile and shed contents into truck,) a new charge of $2,695 for 700 cuft and gas surcharge that was 'somehow missed' in RW's/MS est. Didn't listen. Made & gave BMVL an UNDER-estimate, off by 1/3rd. RW MISTAKE!!
For low quality 'substitute' service I paid BMVL $3,800 on 8/27 & got guaranteed NC return pickup of what didn't fit in the too small truck. 2nd ExSpcStrg/SC PU sched'd & cmpltd by BMVL on 9/1/19, load combined in 'free storage' with first, awaiting delivery order.
Delivery: Left Santa Cruz & CA 9/16, arrived Florence OR 9/17. Wrote & sent 1st emails late 9/18 to RW Sales & Ops, via RW links provided, RE: scheduling delivery, estmt & accounting errors, Balance DOD, low quality service, & what RW must do to satisfy customer. Both emails returned UNDELIVERABLE due to faulty links. (Delib't?) Made calls 9/19 to numbers provided, connected w/Vianca in Ops, unwilling to look into the problem, adamant RW did not err. Pprwk says so.
23 emails from 9/19-10/6 presenting KRP POV facts & payment evidence + near equal # calls to RW & BMVL have not produced a refund or compensation for RW errors leading to extra charges. Load delivered 10/6. Paid BMVL $6,422.05 DOD bcz BMVL not at fault & I need my possessions in OR.
Calls to OpCtr are now blocked. Last email FROM RW on 10/3/19 said RW GenMgr "looking into it." No response to emails calling for definitive action Now.
Turning to Revdex.com to help get ovr'chg refund + comp'stn for fraudulent sales & bus practices.
I am seeking a refund of the $1,509 second installment down payment that was never credited to my contract and 50% of the $2,695 additional charges ($1,347.50) that resulted from Rightway's inattentive sales person's (deliberately?) inaccurate estimate, their false advertising and deceptive sales practices, faulty accounting procedures and grade F- customer service.

Contracted Mover to move us from Florida to Oregon. They picked up on 7-29-19 and were supposed to deliver on 8-23-19. It's 9-24-19 and not delivered
I made the mistake of contracting Rightway Movers to move us from Pembroke Pines, Florida on July 29th, then to deliver to Bend, Oregon on August 23rd. That gave them 3 weeks to transport our items. We were Assured and Promised there would be no delay delivering. They made these promises in front of Police, neighbors, relatives and a Florida Sheriff when they over pressured my wife at pickup taking advantage of me not being able to be present at the time. I was working in California. It's now September 24th and we still do not have our shipment and they do not return calls, voice mails or emails unless we consistently call then 5-10 times each time or threaten legal actions. Even then, all they say is it's on its way, will be there this week. Lies. They have told us that every week for 5 weeks. They still wont even tell us if our stuff is on a truck, what state it's in or if it even left Florida. More Lies. Unfortunately, Righway Movers is a broker, not a moving company. They subcontracted our move to *** Moving who is even worse at answering the phone and when they do, they say the same thing...it's on the truck will be there in a few days. this has been going on for more than a month with no delivery expected. It gets even worse because *** used a Bill of Lading from a 3rd company, Progressive Relocation, impersonating them. When we contacted Progress Relocation, they had no record of our move and are now filing a complaint as well. We have copies of every Email, Every Text, Every Phone Number, Every Lie! Because we can't get answers or our items, we have filed complaints with the FBI, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, Pembroke Police, Oregon Police, New York Police because *** has an office Address there also, Revdex.com, our attorney and our private investigator. We are pressing charges against both of these companies. The last we heard from them they were delivering our items this weekend by 9-28-19. We do not think they will make the delivery date. These companies need to be stopped! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these movers if you ever want to see your items again. WE WANT OUR ITEMS DELIVERED NOW!! These companies need to be shut down and prosecuted!
WE WANT OUR ITEMS DELIVERED NOW! WE WANT A REDUCTION TO OUR BILL FOR NON PERFORMANCE, LIES, DELAYS, AND NOT RECEIVING OUR SHIPMENT.
DO NOT use this company! Find a reputable MOVING COMPANY. They are nothing but a BROKER & once they subcontract the move out to someone else you'll not be able to reach anyone for help at Rightway. I concur with the other reviews here.......grossly misrepresented my cubic feet of goods to move which costed us a boatload of $. Subcontracted to a moving company that was terrible. Subcontracted company delivered a month late with 34 items missing & numerous damaged household goods costing us 10k+.

Manger lady was rude and gives me the run around saying it's in the account billing . Never follows up . I just need answers, where they are sending refund . I'll telske a personal check or cashier check . There bad for business
I have tired for three weeks to get a refund on my deposit, with no action.
On August 14th I asked for a refund of my 2000.00 deposit. I was told it would take about a week. since then I have called several times for an update. I'm told that we are a list and the refund should be taken care of. Today I was simply put on hold and never responded to I feel like they are ignoring my request hoping I will stop asking
I would like your help in getting rightway moving to do the right thing and refund my deposit
This company has blocked my number and will not return calls or emails regarding a refund for my move.
This company was hired for a move on 8/24/2019 and 8/25/2019 and said that they would contact me on 8/23/2019 regarding the date and time they would arrive. I was notified that I would have the truck arrive on 8/24 between 1 and 6PM from the operations department at Rightway Moves. I received a call on 8/24 from the dispatch department, ***, at 11:30AM on 8/24 notifying me that the truck would not arrive until 8/25 between 8 and 11AM. This was the first communication that I had received from the dispatch and this company has been reported on numerous occasions for poor business practices and, essentially, fraud. They showed up on Sunday, 8/25, around 12:15PM and could not verify that they were actually my movers and had no information regarding a contact at Rightway Moves. I told them that I was not comfortable having them move my things if they could not confirm that they were associated with Rightway for my move, at which point they became agitated and aggressive and would not leave my apartment without coaxing. I felt threatened and tried to contact Rightway Moves regarding my horrible experience. I could not get in touch with Rightway Moves all weekend, and upon speaking with them on Monday, 8/28/2019 was notified that I would have my trip cancelled and the billing department would reach out to me about my refund. I have not received a call, and upon calling the operations department again, *800) ***, realized that my number had been blocked. Now nobody at the company will contact me regarding my $1,000 refund. Now, with no contact ability, I am turning to the Revdex.com to assist with resolution regarding this claim.
I would like my refund in the amount of $1,000 as this company has been disrespectful and extremely difficult to work with. They will not return calls and will not work with me regarding a resolution.
After sending $1,000.00 deposit I can not get in contact with anyone from Rightway Movers.
I made a deposit of $1000.00 to Rightway movers for an upcoming move. March 2019 I was speaking with Scott at time of scheduling move and making deposit. I was originally schedule to move in April but had to reschedule. Scott told me to call when I was ready to reschedule. Now that I'm ready to schedule for move; they are now not answering my phones calls, not returning voice messages or e-mail. They took my $1000.00 deposit. They have deleted all information they sent via e-mail referring to inventory and contract. I do have receipt of payment for deposit. This has made my upcoming move a little more difficult because I really thought they were a good company. Turns out that they are thieves!
I would like my deposit refunded back to me
This company is a Broker. They use UN LICENSED CARRIERS! They really should be careful! please check the people coming to your house. This broker doesnt seem to care about it. You should. I am currently in talks with a lawyer and people from the Department of Transportation.
Exceedingly poor performance by named company and its subcontractors (I hold named company responsible for subs) resulted in breach of contract.
Rightway Movers
1. Contacted Scott R at Rightway Movers, 9 May. He agreed to give me 10% discount because of my government service. Total cost was approximately $4600, assuming I didn't go over 655 cubic feet. I received a copy of the contract same day via e-mail. PROBLEM- Once the movers arrived, I could no longer access this file electronically. This continues to today, so I cannot provide precise numbers.
2. Preferred pickup date was 5 June. Scott said it could be anywhere on 3-4-5 June, and I agreed. PROBLEM- The movers did not show up until 6 June. THIS IS A VIOLATION OF CONTRACT. This resulted in one night in a hotel that ultimately wouldn't have happened had they shown up on 5 June. Multiple calls on 5 June convinced me that my job had been forgotten and frantic calls were being made behind the scenes to try to find a truck to load my items. This was contracted to ***, who sent a team down from Chicago rather than contracting locally (St. Louis).
3. Once contract was signed the job seemed to be in the hands of the subcontractors. PROBLEM- One, I wasn't told there would be subs. The primary sub was ***. Two, once the subs got hold of the job, I could not get anyone at Rightway to help me (on the rare occasions I could get anyone to answer the phone), despite repeated calls over multiple days.
4. Scott at Rightway told me that my items could be delivered to the new location in as little as 5 days. While 5 days is a bit quick, I certainly expected it within 7-10 days of pickup. I got to my new location 9 June, so with a pickup on 5 June, 5 days (best case) would mean a 10 June delivery. PROBLEM- *** didn't care what Scott promised. Their policy was 7-21 business days from the first possible date of delivery (9 June), not from date of pickup (6 June).
5. *** was steadfastly unable to give me a closer estimate of when my stuff would be delivered, despite multiple calls . I was told "it never takes 21 business days" and is "usually towards the shorter end of timeframe". PROBLEM- My items were ultimately delivered 8 July, which, counting 4 July as a holiday, was 20 business days (32 calendar days). If 4 July wasn't a holiday for ***, then it was the full 21 days. I suspect that my frequent calls to *** resulted in them slow-rolling my job, getting it to me just in time to avoid another violation of contract.
6. PROBLEM- Unanticipated delay in moving caused me to stay in a hotel for unplanned seven days, costing me approximately $960, not to mention the extra eating out. PROBLEM- I then moved into a totally unfurnished house and had to buy several unplanned items to make the place marginally livable (a chair, mattress, towels). I lived like this for two weeks in between moving out of hotel and my stuff arriving.
7. *** and *** both calculated my load to be over the 655 cubic feet allowed by contract, hence costing more. OK, if it were true. PROBLEM- When my items arrived I measured the size of the load (approximately 9' x 8' x8') prior to unloading and found it to be about 575 cubic feet, far under the 655 allowed.
8. This means that both *** and *** OVERCHARGED me. Further, since they didn't talk to Rightway, they did not give me the 10% off that Scott promised. PROBLEM- the overcharge cost and the lack of discount meant that my total cost was approx. $5757, vice the approximately $4600 that was contracted by Scott at Rightway.
9. Upon receipt of my items, I found several items MISSING (4' step ladder, computer chair, bolts to put legs on table), several BROKEN items (significantly, my coffee table had two casters broken off), and several items scuffed. The movers also scraped and dented my front door in the process of moving.
I hold Rightway Movers responsible for not only their poor performance but for the poor performance of their subcontractors (*** and ***. I am seeking refunds in the following amounts: $1100 (subcontractor overcharging for cubic feet and not providing Rightway-promised 10% discount), $1000 (total 8 nights in hotel over and above expected due to late delivery, $200 (replace missing ladder and computer chair), $200 (repair/replace broken items and damaged door). Total $2500. I recommend lowering their Revdex.com rating as well. Thank you.
We would like to resolve this issue. We are willing to compensate $2500 to the customer. We agree to your desired resolution. We apologize for your unsatisfactory service and will make this matter right by returning it.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The named company has resolved the issue to my satisfaction by offering to reimburse me the amount I requested. I thank them for taking responsibility for their performance and especially for the performance of their subcontractors.
On August 3, RightWay Movers agreed to compensate me $2500, which I accepted by 9 August (Revdex.com case 90237367). To date (September 5) I have not received this money in the form of either a check or a credit to my credit card. I feel that four weeks is long enough for the company to process this, and look forward to a speedy resolution.
Spoke with Mark S, Senior Moving Director with Rightway Movers. He was adamant they were not a broker moving company. I was assured that to garner my business he would have the $75 per flight of stairs after the initial first flight being free be waived and I would not be responsible to pay. There was a dispute with the contracted moving company about that. I contacted Mark told him the situation and that the company was very rude. He again assured me it would be handled and not to worry. Well, come my scheduled pick up date, the driver with pants unzipped, additional mover with yellow stained sweat on his white tank top and another with a disgruntled attitude show up to my apartment. Low and behold there was an issue regarding that payment involving the stairs straight away. As the driver and I were talking, the disgruntled individual went outside and began cursing at me. I went outside asked if there was an issue and the stained white tank top individual said no. As further discussions went on, the said disgruntled individual was then heard saying he would beat my mf'ing as. I proceeded to tell the driver, he acknowledged it was said and sent that person downstairs. I told him I no longer wanted their services due to being threatened against my life. I would no longer wish to use their services and would like my $1,000 deposit back. I cannot trust that this situation will not happen again and wish to warn others of the type of employees they contract to.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. First and foremost, if you get a call back from Scott, hang up the phone! He is a liar. He will tell you what you want to hear and completely under estimate the number of items that you have to move. For example, I just moved a 2-bedroom apartment and he put down 1 closet box rather than the 7 I told him. Also, he doesn't even know what is on the contracts of his company. I e-mailed him several times about my move to ensure that everything that I was asking for was correct. His replies were one to two-word. answers staying either YES or SOUNDS GOOD. As it turned out, he was wrong both times. The first questions was if we could leave clothes in our furniture. He said yes, however, the contractor said that we have to empty all furniture. Next, I asked if our stuff could be delivered the next day. I came up with a detailed plan and he signed off on it by replying SOUNDS GOOD. It turned out everything on the plan was not good. The movers were not from Rightway, they subcontracted it out to a company in Maryland. The movers came at the tail end of a 4 hour window and took 6 hours to load out our stuff. Now comes the real fun! I found out the next day that I wouldn't be getting my stuff for 2 to 3 weeks! The moving company transferred all my property onto an 18 wheeler and took it down to FL without asking me first. My girl had no clothes and I had about 1 weeks worth. I called Scott several times to get answers as to why he lied about all these things that I asked him about prior to the move, but, like a coward, he never answered his phone. The only person who spoke to me was a girl named Bianca in the operations department and all she did was say, "You should have read your contract." Scott told me and my girl that he would make it right by paying for the hotel stay we made driving from NC to RI, but, he never did that either. The movers finally showed up 16 days after we moved into my sister's house and we found that they moved clothes around in our drawers and reboxed items too. The whole moving experience with Rightway and the company they hired was nothing short of a nightmare. Again, I would advise anyone to pick another moving company or do it yourself before hiring this extremely unprofessional company. Finally, Scott loves to talk up how they treat military members and veterans, well, everything I just told you was how they treated a 24 year veteran of the US Coast Guard. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
