Rhythm Electric

Rhythm Electric (RE) is a sub contractor utilized by JT Construction (JT) who was managing the construction of our new home in Blaine. He started work on the house in August 2017. We passed the Labor and Industries inspection of the electrical rough-in in October 2017, and achieved permanent power status with PSE on Fri Dec 1/2017. Subsequently on Dec 4/2017 we had ***, supplier of our +$20k mini split heating system, test out their equipment. They discovered that RE had not complied with manufacturer requirements for wiring the equipment, and such wiring would void my warranty with the manufacturer. When I asked RE to rewire so as to comply with the manufacturers warranty requirements, Terry refused and said he had wired according to code and that was good enough. He thus voided my warranty. He did not care. I decided I could no longer work with such a unprofessional and unethical business. On Dec 7/2017 I texted, left voice mail, and emailed Terry requesting a final walk through of the electrical system in my house, for safety reasons, so that wires that were erroneously covered by dry wall or siding could be located, and wiring tested to ensure the safety of my house and my family. He refuses to respond. I have subsequently found electrical wiring issues that another licensed electrician is going to have to repair (at a cost to me). Terry’s proposal prior to commencing work states that his work is guaranteed for 1 calendar year after final inspection. He has been paid for 75% of the proposed job, but has not completed 75% of the work. I require him to honor his warranty and to provide detailed information of his wiring for use by another licensed electrician, plus testing of all circuits he installed.
