My wife and I paid Resort Consumer Advocates, LLC (RCA) $12,on August 16,primarily to rid ourselves of our timeshares We paid them the large sum of money thinking they were using that money to buy-out our existing timeshares not enroll us in another one After speaking with several other timeshare relief companies recently, we have realized that RCA misled us The only thing they have done in 13+ months is enroll us in the RCI points system which we really didn't want In January/February of [redacted] of RCA instructed us not to pay any maintenance fees on our timeshares I sent her at least past due notices from one of our timeshares and maybe got one response We didn't pay the maintenance fees until both of them contacted us in June and July when they were going into collections Consequently, it cost us additional late charges, etc - $on one and $on the other RCA has done nothing to-date to transfer our timeshares out of our

We received a phone call inviting us to a restaurant to learn more about our timeshares.In the last few years our timeshares have gone from weeks to points and we have a lot of questionsI first said to the caller that "We are not interesting in selling."She replied "No, we are advocates for the RCI plan you are with and are going to answer any questions you may have." That is the only reason we went and met with them on June 12,at Longhorns restaurant in Gainesville GA.They implied that they were working with RCI, a vacation ownership company that we bank our timeshares withAfter the meal they began high pressure with the computer presentation.They showed how they could take away all maintenance fees but still give all benefitsThey talked on and on with their hard sales pitchWe finally signed the papers and gave them a check for $However, we did see in the contract that the purchaser cancellation rights in which we had club business days to send the intent to cance

I own a timeshare with Silverleaf Resorts, and was contacted by Resort Consumer Advocates to swap my current package for one with Florida Villa Vacations which uses RCI PointsI know people who have an RCI points account and love it, so I paid $8,which I am now disputing with my credit card agency, because I didn't receive any service or product for the moneyOn December 22nd, 2017, the Director of Client Relations wrote on the Facebook page that "RCA is not openThe CEO shut it down"She continued to say, "I suggest you contact your lenders, banks, the CEO etcBTW, the CEO screwed me tooThis is *** *** the former client relations director of RCAI wish I knew how to help everyoneI wasn't aware of what was going on until he shut it down :(" She also provided the CEO's phone number which is said to be ***-***-***I have been reaching out for months, with no response from anyone other than ***

RCA contacted us in January They claim to be a timeshare relief companyWe paid them $to relieve us of our timeshareI checked the timeshare we were supposed to be relieved of and it shows we are delinquent for RCA took our money and now I can’t reach anyone who works for them because all phone numbers are disconnected or not in service

We owned a timeshare and wanted to sell itRCA contacted us to meeting at a presentation at a local restaurant and they promised they would take care of our timeshare and we would have a new membership with this company to reserve hotels room and other resorts when we wanted to go on vacationThey told us to stop paying and they would take care of itWe paid $7,to have the new membership and to take care of our timeshareOf course we have never received eitherWhen I called a number to reserve a a couple of nights they had no record of our membershipAs well as the timeshare has not been paidSo we had to continue to pay to keep our credit good
