I am rejecting this response because: I would like to first respond to your accusation that I have or are pretending to have some sort of a bad memory regarding your pricingI remember our conversations in their entiretyWhen I first made contact with you you quoted me a price of $1,When I got to your studio you changed it to $1250.00, I thought that was kind of odd, but my husband said don't worry about it just pay itSo I didI also asked you about my proofsAny photographer I ever dealt with gave me all my proofs, because after all what do they need them for, (that's what one of them told me)So I asked you about the proofs and you told me that you keep them but you could let me purchase them for a lump sum of money and you then told me that it wouldn't be a good idea to buy one at a time because it would cost too much that wayI asked you how much one photo was and you told me $I then said, OMG, really? I was seriously rethinking hiring you at this point because this was something I personally never ran into beforeYou then assured me that you would work something out with me when the time cameSo due to my wedding stress I just let it go and moved on Then we got marriedWhen it was time for me to see the proofs, I brought back up to you in conversation to re-asked you for a reasonable deal because the prices you were showing on line didn't look like you remembered what you told me about working something out with meI then also went into how we couldn't afford what you were asking forI wasn't working at the time and on unemployment what you were asking for was an impossible amount of money for me to come up with You gave the PPA the impression that I was trying to take advantage of you by asking for a price for imagesYou said very flippantly that I wanted Costco pricing, without explaining what the REAL conversation was about, in order to sway them into thinking i'm some sort of customer that just wants something for nothingYou and I both know; and I still have the email where I was stating that your pricing was a little out of my reach to purchase all pictures for $or for $which you lowered it to later onThe subject of Costco came up when I was comparing your gallery wrap priceI honestly do not remember how much you were asking but it was very out of sync with today's prices, but I was not asking you for that pricing I was only making a comparisonLeaving out details of a situation can definitely leave someone with a different impression All of these accusations from you trying to make me look like a low life customer who is looking for something for free, is all a rouse to try and detract from the fact that you were missing in action for months; this is what this whole situation is aboutNot that I want anything for free, not that I want to swindle you out of your photos, its because I was at my wits end trying to get a response from youI was very nice to you in ALL my communication to you and called and emailed you for months with ZERO responseStephanie, If you were having trouble getting my pictures together why didn't you just tell me? Why hide out from me and make me think that you went out of business? What was the point to that? Were you trying to get even with me because I disagreed with your high prices and no longer was going to be the lucrative customer you were hoping for? Whatever your reason, it didn't have to come to thisI could have worked with you had you just communicated to me you were having problemsI would have respected you as a professional if you would have just come clean with me and said, [redacted] I am having problems meeting my demand or lost your photos or WHATEVER your reason was and I would have continued to sit and wait at least I would have known that there was a delay When a client reaches out to you over and over and over again, it becomes suspect when they get no responseSo what I did is I got on the Internet and I tried to find out if you moved again, and maybe you changed your phone number and that was why you weren't responding, but I was thinking did she change her email too??? What is going on? I had my husband call you, hoping you would respond to himNOTHINGSo I found out on the Internet that Red Carpet Studios was in SacramentoI did business with you in Lodi, so I was like OK, but she didn't change her number because I still get her voice mail, and she didn't change her email address because I still get through I don't get a reject messageSo I prayed about it and said well, maybe the Revdex.com can help me track her downSo I contacted the Revdex.com and they said you did go out of business and they said they tried all forms of communication and they received no replySo at this point I am getting angry because I felt that if you were going to go out of business you could at least have completed your jobs that you collected money for So, my next step after the Revdex.com confirmed my nightmare I checked on the online gallery to see if my pics were still upI thought well it says its a high res download ill order one as a portrait and at least ill have one picSo I went and ordered it and nothingNo link for a download, but you had me pay something like $for shipping so I thought it would come to me in the mail by discI waited and waited I believe from the best of my memory but if pressed I can call AMEX and find out but it was at least or weeks that went by before I asked my husband what we should doWe phoned you again and when I received no response after another week I finally called AMEX and told them that I couldn't reach you if maybe they could try and if not to please refund my money if they too couldn't get a hold of you, but I told them I rather get my picture if possible Weeks went by and AMEX said they phoned several times and they could not get a reply from you and that they would just refund my moneyMy next move was to see if I could maybe contact you through the PPAI thought once a photographer always a photographer so even if she abandoned her business she must still be connected to the PPA in some wayI phoned them and they told me to go on their website that there was a link to put in both your names and email you directlyI did thatI told both of you that I would understand that if you lost my photos but I needed closure, to please just tell meI received no replyI then decided to fill out a complaint with the PPAI was hoping they could get in contact with you since you either refused to communicate or you disregarded your business I with all good conscience feel that I didn't rush to contact themI felt I tried every method I could think of that could help solve the mystery of where my photos wereBut you see by the time I got in contact with them I was upset and angryI did hear from you suddenly which is why I made my comment money talks....it seemed to me that that was the only way I could get you to respond to me,, by pulling your money away from you with AMEX, because now that you finally answered it proved to me you were in business all along and was not responding to me out of spiteSo YES....I asked for my money back and all the high resolution pics....because you were caught in all your deceiving to be found still in businessThis behavior is unethical and I feel I am a damaged party in this not youI spent countless hours trying to track you down making endless phone calls, hours wasted writing letters.....how am I this trouble maker again? Oh wait maybe I'm a fraudster who just wants to get something for nothing right? After I asked you for a price for pics and you said no I dropped it.....I just chalked it up to my fault for not doing my homework before hiring youI never once mentioned that again You then accused me of not responding to you with your album proofMaybe I should show the PPA my response? I told you that you had just sent it to me and that I found it quite comical that you finally get to doing the proof that I sent you months ago, (where I had a followup email correcting myself to months), and now you were rushing me for a response! I told you that I would look it over with my husband and have an answer to you by the end of the week, being THIS week....you lied and said you didn't get a response so you sent it for processing without my approvalThis is a very silly way of trying to make you look like you are so on time with things that you had to send it in right away! HA! Do you really think that's going to work? Do you think that by suddenly looking concerned someone is going to believe that? Don't you know that when you lie especially in email you will be found out? Why would you be in such a rush to send my proof in all of a sudden that you couldn't give me time to look it over when YOU were no where to be found for months? That is very funny I refused to be mocked and made a fool out of especially when I feel I gave you favor for so longAll you had to do was call me or email me backEven after all your words that you sent to the PPA in response to my complaint you still never answered the big questionWhere were you for months that your client, the Revdex.com and American Express could not get hold of you? If you haven't figured it out by now that's what this is really all about [redacted] ***

I would like to know HOW this business is able to get away with the treatment that they gave to me?
They sent me a crappy book with me AND my husbands names spelled wrong....IM GOING TO SUE if nobody does anything....they ignored me for months and took my money and then messed all my stuff up they CLAIMthat they gave me everything WHATdid they give me?????

I have read the response to and "rejection" of my reply
At this point, I am unsure as to how to respondThe information provided is not in direct response to my replyIt appears to be copied and pasted from a complaint the client has made regarding the same issue, to another organization, PPA (Professional Photographers of America)It looks to be repetitive iterations of the incorrect dates and times that I have already addressed in my response and and supporting documentation that reinforces the dates, times, presence of communication, proper execution of the contract, and delivery of items
The client is now in receipt of the wedding album (see attached proof of delivery), thus satisfying our contract in full.
Additionally, in an attempt to amicably resolve the issue and better facilitate the process, I have moved the client's wedding images to an updated galleryThe new gallery website is much more user friendly, orders are processed more smoothly, and customers are not required to use PayPal I have updated the pricelist to reflect a discounted price of $(originally $950) for the full set of images, and provided the client with a discount code for 20% off the entire pricelistThe discount can be used multiple times and does not expire.
She has received everything (and more) of which she requested in her initial complaint resolution request.
I am requesting the closure of this complaint and request that the information that was misstated by the client remain private, and not a part of the public record, as the majority of the claims were simply untrue, as evidenced in the supporting documentation provided in my initial response.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should need additional information I will be happy to provide further details and/or additional evidence, if required.
I look forward to the prompt resolution of this matter
Thank you,

We were contracted on May 9, to photograph ***'s June 8th, weddingThey selected our "Mini" package, which includes Photographer, up to three consecutive hours of photographic coverage: guest arrival,
ceremony, and family formals, with an online proofing gallery for viewing and orderingAdditionally, we provided an album, 2nd photographer, and reception coverage at no additional chargeWe discussed in length that the online gallery would serve as both a proofing source and online ordering areaThe selected package was offered at a lower cost because they were only paying for the "day of" photographic coverage up frontAny prints, digital images, or other photographic products are available for purchase through the proofing gallery.
Upon viewing the images in the proofing gallery, *** emailed me, stating that "the pics are beautiful," but "the pricing is outrageous." Despite our previous discussions to the contrary, and the written, signed contract stating exactly what was included, she no longer remembered that the physical photos and/or digital images were not included in the packageWhen she requested discounted pricing, we offered her a generous $discount on the full disc of imagesShe rejected this offer, suggesting that we give her individual images at a 95% discount, or the entire disc at a $discountI explained that we were unable to offer such deep discounts, but would be happy to work with them in selecting the images and products that would work best for themIt became increasingly difficult to communicate with the client at this point, as obtaining the images at little or no cost became the focusAfter the clients selected the images for the album order in late Fall, I explained the process, time involved, and that they are processed in the order in which they are receivedI made them aware that during the time leading up to the Holidays, the number of orders increases exponentially, and may cause delaysThe album design lead time and possibly of delays is also outlined in the contractThere were subsequent requests for the same information, however, due to the fact that there was no new information to convey, I was simply running out of ways to tactfully approach the situation and trying to avoid unnecessary conflict
In January (not December as stated in complaint), the client placed an order for a digital imageOrders for digital downloads are always delivered digitally (not mail, as stated in the complaint)The digital download was delivered via Dropbox, first in January, and again via both Dropbox and email in February, after I was contacted by PayPal, not American Express as stated in the complaintDespite responding to the chargeback request from PayPal, and providing proof of digital delivery (PayPal does not protect sellers against disputes regarding digital items), the client was given a full refund and I was charged a fee, effectively receiving the digital image, not only for free, but at an additional cost to our companyHowever, the client has not updated the complaint to reflect the receipt of the high resolution image downloadI was just recently made aware she was expecting the digital download to arrive via U.SMailHad I known she did not yet have the image, I would have been happy to send further instructions on the download procedure from a shared Dropbox folder.
I emailed the client regarding the digtial image and chargeback, stating that I would also be providing a digital proof of the album designAfter waiting for a response for over a month, I decided it would be best to try sending the design proof to the clientI did not receive a response to this emailAfter seven days, I sent another email, stating that if they would like any changes to the layout, to let me know by the end of the day, as I would be ordering the album that nightI did not receive a response to this third emailI submitted the album design for printing on the morning of 4/1/I received an email from the client the night of 4/1/2014, stating that I was "rushing" her and she was going to look at the design the following dayI replied, explaining that the design proofs are sent as a courtesy only, and since I had not received any requests for modifications, I was under the impression the layout was satisfactory, and submitted the order for printing.
Until late on 4/1/14, I had not received any further communication with the client, nor had I received ANY communication from American Express or Revdex.comI only recently became aware of the Revdex.com complaint through an additional complaint made by the client to my association for professional photographersI was appalled to discover that the Revdex.com had closed the case and given my business an F grade, due to lack of responseI was further astonished to see that because the Revdex.com failed to look up our current mailing address, they suggested to the client that we were "out of business." As a California LLC, the mailing address is public record and very easy to look up on the Secretary of State websiteOur phone numbers and email addresses are also publicly available via our website (provided in the complaint), as well as all six of the social media outlets shown at the bottom of the Revdex.com's own pageContact info for Red Carpet Studios, is extremely easy to findLack of due diligence on the part of the Revdex.com, does not constitute the absence of our response, going out of business, or an "F" grade on our part
Due to the fact that I was not given the opportunity to respond to the initial complaint, and the client is receiving everything, and more, that she is entitled per our contract, I hope this matter can be rectified with the Revdex.com in an expedited manner and our rating will be elevated accordingly

W have gone above and beyond for this client.  Her actions are now crossing the line into harassment and defamation.

She is abusing the legitimate resolution services of the Revdex.com, Yelp, and Professional Photographers of America in an attempt to pressure us into giving her money and free products.

She was absolutely not ignored for "6 months" as she repeatably and erroneously states, and continues to ignore the written documentation to the contrary.
I have submitted proof of fulfillment of the contract and the Revdex.com has already closed the case.
Professional Photographers of America closed her case, finding that " It is the committee’s conclusion that Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] have fulfilled the contract and advised the client of the pricing of additional items in a professional manner. It is the committee’s conclusion that Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] did not violate the PPA Code of Ethics."
Their names were spelled correctly on the album. In a separate email she complained that she would rather have used their full names. She was given a digital proof of the album and cover design seven days prior to my submission of the order. If she would have communicated a different name preference, I would have been happy to make the changes prior to her receipt of the physical album.
She purchased the smallest package that we offer, which includes ceremony coverage, 1 photographer, and online photo gallery. At no additional cost, she was given a complimentary standard album, 2nd photographer, and extra time on the day of the wedding.
In an attempt to work with her and ensure a positive overall experience, she was given a 20% discount on all orders.
She continually insists that we need to "cut deals" with her and is requesting a 95% discount on her digital images.

We have fulfilled all aspects of our contractual obligation. We have responded to all of her concerns, complaints, false accusations, and name calling in a professional and courteous manner.

I am rejecting this response because:

I would like to first respond to your accusation that I have or are pretending to have some sort of a bad memory regarding your pricing. I remember our conversations in their entirety. When I first made contact with you you quoted me a price of $1,200.00 When I got to your studio you changed it to $1250.00, I thought that was kind of odd, but my husband said don't worry about it just pay it. So I did. I also asked you about my proofs. Any photographer I ever dealt with gave me all my proofs, because after all what do they need them for, (that's what one of them told me). So I asked you about the proofs and you told me that you keep them but you could let me purchase them for a lump sum of money and you then told me that it wouldn't be a good idea to buy one at a time because it would cost too much that way. I asked you how much one photo was and you told me $75.00 I then said, OMG, really? I was seriously rethinking hiring you at this point because this was something I personally never ran into before. You then assured me that you would work something out with me when the time came. So due to my wedding stress I just let it go and moved on.

Then we got married. When it was time for me to see the proofs, I brought back up to you in conversation to re-asked you for a reasonable deal because the prices you were showing on line didn't look like you remembered what you told me about working something out with me. I then also went into how we couldn't afford what you were asking for. I wasn't working at the time and on unemployment what you were asking for was an impossible amount of money for me to come up with.

You gave the PPA the impression that I was trying to take advantage of you by asking for a price for 50 images. You said very flippantly that I wanted Costco pricing, without explaining what the REAL conversation was about, in order to sway them into thinking i'm some sort of customer that just wants something for nothing. You and I both know; and I still have the email where I was stating that your pricing was a little out of my reach to purchase all 500 pictures for $900.00 or for $750.00 which you lowered it to later on. The subject of Costco came up when I was comparing your gallery wrap price. I honestly do not remember how much you were asking but it was very out of sync with today's prices, but I was not asking you for that pricing I was only making a comparison. Leaving out details of a situation can definitely leave someone with a different impression.

All of these accusations from you trying to make me look like a low life customer who is looking for something for free, is all a rouse to try and detract from the fact that you were missing in action for 6 months; this is what this whole situation is about. Not that I want anything for free, not that I want to swindle you out of your photos, its because I was at my wits end trying to get a response from you. I was very nice to you in ALL my communication to you and called and emailed you for 6 months with ZERO response. Stephanie, If you were having trouble getting my pictures together why didn't you just tell me? Why hide out from me and make me think that you went out of business? What was the point to that? Were you trying to get even with me because I disagreed with your high prices and no longer was going to be the lucrative customer you were hoping for? Whatever your reason, it didn't have to come to this. I could have worked with you had you just communicated to me you were having problems. I would have respected you as a professional if you would have just come clean with me and said, [redacted] I am having problems meeting my demand or lost your photos or WHATEVER your reason was and I would have continued to sit and wait at least I would have known that there was a delay.

When a client reaches out to you over and over and over again, it becomes suspect when they get no response. So what I did is I got on the Internet and I tried to find out if you moved again, and maybe you changed your phone number and that was why you weren't responding, but I was thinking did she change her email too??? What is going on? I had my husband call you, hoping you would respond to him. NOTHING. So I found out on the Internet that Red Carpet Studios was in Sacramento. I did business with you in Lodi, so I was like OK, but she didn't change her number because I still get her voice mail, and she didn't change her email address because I still get through I don't get a reject message. So I prayed about it and said well, maybe the Revdex.com can help me track her down. So I contacted the Revdex.com and they said you did go out of business and they said they tried all forms of communication and they received no reply. So at this point I am getting angry because I felt that if you were going to go out of business you could at least have completed your jobs that you collected money for.

So, my next step after the Revdex.com confirmed my nightmare I checked on the online gallery to see if my pics were still up. I thought well it says its a high res download ill order one as a portrait and at least ill have one pic. So I went and ordered it and nothing. No link for a download, but you had me pay something like $6.50 for shipping so I thought it would come to me in the mail by disc. I waited and waited I believe from the best of my memory but if pressed I can call AMEX and find out but it was at least 6 or 7 weeks that went by before I asked my husband what we should do. We phoned you again and when I received no response after another week I finally called AMEX and told them that I couldn't reach you if maybe they could try and if not to please refund my money if they too couldn't get a hold of you, but I told them I rather get my picture if possible.

Weeks went by and AMEX said they phoned several times and they could not get a reply from you and that they would just refund my money. My next move was to see if I could maybe contact you through the PPA. I thought once a photographer always a photographer so even if she abandoned her business she must still be connected to the PPA in some way. I phoned them and they told me to go on their website that there was a link to put in both your names and email you directly. I did that. I told both of you that I would understand that if you lost my photos but I needed closure, to please just tell me. I received no reply. I then decided to fill out a complaint with the PPA. I was hoping they could get in contact with you since you either refused to communicate or you disregarded your business.
I with all good conscience feel that I didn't rush to contact them. I felt I tried every method I could think of that could help solve the mystery of where my photos were. But you see by the time I got in contact with them I was upset and angry. I did hear from you suddenly which is why I made my comment money talks....it seemed to me that that was the only way I could get you to respond to me,, by pulling your money away from you with AMEX, because now that you finally answered it proved to me you were in business all along and was not responding to me out of spite. So YES....I asked for my money back and all the high resolution pics....because you were caught in all your deceiving to be found still in business. This behavior is unethical and I feel I am a damaged party in this not you. I spent countless hours trying to track you down making endless phone calls, hours wasted writing letters.....how am I this trouble maker again? Oh wait maybe I'm a fraudster who just wants to get something for nothing right? After I asked you for a price for 50 pics and you said no I dropped it.....I just chalked it up to my fault for not doing my homework before hiring you. I never once mentioned that again.

You then accused me of not responding to you with your album proof. Maybe I should show the PPA my response? I told you that you had just sent it to me and that I found it quite comical that you finally get to doing the proof that I sent you 5 months ago, (where I had a followup email correcting myself to 7 months), and now you were rushing me for a response! I told you that I would look it over with my husband and have an answer to you by the end of the week, being THIS week....you lied and said you didn't get a response so you sent it for processing without my approval. This is a very silly way of trying to make you look like you are so on time with things that you had to send it in right away! HA! Do you really think that's going to work? Do you think that by suddenly looking concerned someone is going to believe that? Don't you know that when you lie especially in email you will be found out? Why would you be in such a rush to send my proof in all of a sudden that you couldn't give me time to look it over when YOU were no where to be found for 6 months? That is very funny.
I refused to be mocked and made a fool out of especially when I feel I gave you favor for so long. All you had to do was call me or email me back. Even after all your words that you sent to the PPA in response to my complaint you still never answered the big question. Where were you for 6 months that your client, the Revdex.com and American Express could not get hold of you? If you haven't figured it out by now that's what this is really all about.

Review: I contracted these women to do my wedding June 8th 2013. I was supposed to get a book with my photos and I can not get in touch with them I email them all the time and I call with no response. The last time I had any communication with them was in October 2013. I was to pick out my pictures for my book. After that I emailed her back asking for a lead time so that I had an idea how long it was going to take. I never heard from them again. I called and emailed about 20 times after that with no luck. Most recently (December 2013) I ordered a high resolution download of a photo from them on their web site http://www.redcarpet-studios.com/ this was supposed to be mailed. I gave them full payment and they never sent it so I had to go to American Express and see if they could get in touch with them or get my money back. So far American Express cant get a hold of them either. These folks are not at the address listed on your site either they moved to 104 N. School Street Suite 306 Lodi California 95240 their phone number is ###-###-####. I think they are angry because I told them I couldnt afford to buy my proofs, they wanted over 750.00 for them. I told them that I already paid them and I didnt realize I wasnt going to get my proofs we didnt have that kind of money for proofs, and after that they slowed the communication down and eventually stopped communication all together.Desired Settlement: I would like my photos. I paid in FULL before the wedding and I also want the picture that I paid for on their web site. I have all my receipts, all I want is my book and the high resolution download photo that I ordered.

Response:

We were contracted on May 9, 2013 to photograph [redacted]'s June 8th, wedding. They selected our "Mini" package, which includes 1 Photographer, up to three consecutive hours of photographic coverage: guest arrival, ceremony, and family formals, with an online proofing gallery for viewing and ordering. Additionally, we provided an album, 2nd photographer, and reception coverage at no additional charge. We discussed in length that the online gallery would serve as both a proofing source and online ordering area. The selected package was offered at a lower cost because they were only paying for the "day of" photographic coverage up front. Any prints, digital images, or other photographic products are available for purchase through the proofing gallery.
