I purchased *** and the measurements as displayed on the website are wrong. Product received is NOT product described on website.
I purchased *** and the measurements as displayed on their website are wrong. I measured it using a professional grade precision measuring device and the actual measurements are as follows:
Length: 12.5"
Diameter of upper half: 2.4"
Diameter of lower half: 2.6"
The measurements displayed online are 13" X 2.75".
Because this product doesn't live up to what's specified on your website, I am requesting a refund. The product received is NOT the product described on the website.
Order # ***
I emailed their support department and got a reply from *** whom explained that the dimentions of the product are "within reason". If you buy lumber and need 20 2x4's and 10 4x4's but receive 17 and 8 respectively, the house cannot be built "within reason". either the product description is correct or it's not. There is no such thing as "within reason" when describing a product. *** indirectly refused my refund request.
Just a simple refund of the product in question. I'll be happy to ship the product back, even at my own expense just to resolve this issue.
First let us establish that this person is talking about an extra large *** that they purchased and not construction materials as they used in their irrelevant example.
The customer is claiming that the 13" rubber *** they ordered is only 12.5" in length according to their own "professional grade precision measuring device".
When originally contacted by customer it was blatantly apparent that they just wanted their money back and since adult toys can not be returned, they concocted the "false advertising" premise and resorted to an extortion attempt threatening to contact the Revdex.com if we did not immediately issue a full refund... Sorry, we will not be extorted simply because they changed their mind about the money spent or *** they selected.
For OBVIOUS reasons no adult toys may be returned, and the claim of the description being inaccurate is simply not true. The dimensions of this *** were provided directly by the manufacturer of the product are indeed accurate. Regarding our previous "within reason" comment to the customer... We opted for these words in an effort to refrain from flat out accusing them of lying and extortion.
Hopefully the Revdex.com will see this for what it is... A completely frivolous complaint.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Whoever responded to this Revdex.com complaint clearly shouldn't be working with unhappy customers as you NEVER insult the customer or accuse them of lying. The measurements provided were ascertained using both a ruler (for length) and Calipers (for circumference). You don't need to believe my measurements. All you have to do is measure the product you sold me yourself. I understand and agree with the return policy for these type of products. There is no disagreements there. What I don't agree with is selling a product with false product info. Neither the length nor the circumference of the actual product equal what is listed on your website. When you received the product from the manufacturer, they gave you the wrong measurements. You are just a middle-man that was caught in the middle of this, however seeing as the product was purchased from you and not directly from the manufacturer, it is you who is responsible to do what's right and refund my money. Accusing me of lying when I have proof of all this along with claiming i'm making an attempt of "extortion" is way out of line and is clearly just an insult heaved out of frustration or by somehow taking this personally. Your business made a mistake and that mistake cost the customer and you refused to correct that mistake when a completely reasonable customer brought it to your attention. as a result of your refusal to right this wrong, I had no choice but to take this matter up with the Revdex.com which is entirely normal and legal. If you were in my position, I'm sure you'd do the same. No aspect of this process should be misconstrued as extortion even by the most loose standards. I suggest you look up "extortion" on the legal dictionary or just click here: ***
You also mentioned that I claimed this is "false advertising" which is not the case. a product listed for sale on a website is not an advertisement. It's a product listing, therefore this claim doesn't fall under the "false advertising" category. As I mentioned, i'll be happy to send the product back to you at my own expense if you simply refund the cost of the product minus the shipping. if you don't want the product back "for obvious reasons", I would understand. however I still request the money I spent on this product back as the product description is NOT the product I received.
