I am rejecting this response because: I told him to coat the wheels the color he thought would match the bestHe said Pewter would be the right choice so I said ok Also pointed out the scratch the day I picked them and he acted like no big deal He said he would spray them if I paid to have them sand blasted and pay for powder I am not paying them anymore money for a mistake that was not mine and lack of quality work especially since the scratches are the only reason I got them powder coatedTook them to someone else to be fixed right and he guaranteed they would look perfect or they would not leave his shop As for negative things that were said about his wife are not true so I don't know where that ever came from All I excepted was a good job which I did not Most times, cheaper is not always better!

In response to the complaint:Customer came to me wanting wheels powder coated to fix scratches and he stated that the Ford dealership was going to pay for the work. He also needed them done in an almost impossible turn around for me at this time. Stating that his vehicle was up on jacks
until he got the wheels backI understood and wanted to help him outThey were dropped off on Thursday. I worked all weekend on his rims. I powder coated the wheels in the color he chose. There is no way to get ahold of Ford to get their powderSo he chose the color from a sample. He then requested a clear coat on the rims even though it isn't required or included in the price. I clear coated them. There was one scratch that remained IN the aluminum. I can not add aluminum to fill in a scratch. I also can not sand a scratch that deep without making the surface look uneven. I receiived several texts and phone calls stating he was not happy with the color he choseI gave him the option of finding the perfect color that he wanted and I would fix it. He wants the wheels done immediately and I can not put him at the front of the line again because he didn't like what he chose. The entire complaint revolves around him choosing the color and the wheels didn't match his bumper. The vehicle was not brought to my business and I never witnessed the color of the bumper. He chose the color from the samples and I gave him exactly what he asked for. I actually only charged him $instead of the regular price of $360. Once again it is not my fault the wheels did not match the bumper from a car that I never saw nor did he state that was what he wanted. As for another place that he contacted: This gentleman went to a place that we are familiar with. We have an open line of communication. He had called to tell me Thank You for sending business his way and to tell me about getting a set of wheels that he needs to do from someone who wasn't happy with my work. He complained about the customer being unpleasantI was also told that he had some negative things to say about my wife. She was in the middle of offering him options and explaining our process when he hung up on her. We've been powder coating for years. I have messed up, and I have always made it right. I have fixed things that were'n't my fault. I was willing to fix this problem, even though it was not my fault. I just couldn 't do it in the time frame he wanted. He never requested any money back. He never discussed actually finding the color he wanted. I have several texts to him asking What do you want me to do with no response
In response to the rejection: The complaint was "it didn't match the bumper." It is literally impossible for me to match the bumper since the vehicle (and bumper) were never brought to my shop. So the accusation that I would find a color that was closer is a fabrication on the part of the owner of the wheelsI would never try and match something that I have no reference forPewter was the color that was chosen. It is the color I used. There is a scratch in the wheel. It is a deep scratch. Powder coating is not a miracle process. It is still better than paint, but it has its limitations. Nothing was said about the color when they were picked up. If the owner of the wheels did not say anything because he did not notice that it wouldn't match the bumper, how am I to know that it wouldn't match when I NEVER saw the bumper. A request for a refund was never presented until the complaint through Revdex.com. During the conversation via telephone with my wife, he hung up on her. That is where the conversation ended. As for the negative things said about my wife to the other powder coater, that is something he can take up with that powder coater. Nobody is losing sleep over the things that were said about her and the names she was called.I stand by my work. I have my limitations as far as what powder coating can do. I would have been more than happy to work with the customer but he made it nearly impossibleTexting me after hours and requesting that I call him hours past closing time, Bragging to me that he complained enough to Ford so that they would pay for the powder coating was the FIRST RED FLAG. Accusing me of stating I would find a color closer was where the line is drawn. I am many things. However I am not a liar
