R & R Painting

My husband and I hired [redacted] to paint most of the rooms of the first floor of our home and to repair and paint the decaying wood around one window in our sun room. The painting of the interior rooms was completed in an adequate fashion. However, while working on the sun room, one of the full length windows was accidentally broken. R & R replaced the window with a thinner, cheaper glass than the one they broke. Rather than repairing the wood around the window, as we had been promised, the painters used some sort of filler to patch some decayed spots and then painted it all to make it look good.Within a couple of days, the new window cracked. We spoke with Mr. [redacted] and pointed out the terrible "repair". He agreed to replace the window again with a thicker glass and to properly repair the wood. We gave him a house key so that he could have access if we were not home.That was a year ago. Since that time, Mr. [redacted] has done NOTHING and he has not returned our house key.Product_Or_Service: Painting, woodworkDesired SettlementFirst of all, Mr. [redacted] needs to pay for new locks for our doors since he claims that he cannot find our house key.Second, Mr. [redacted] needs to pay for the full replacement cost (materials and labor) for the window.We will hire someone else to do the work and to replace and repair the wood in the sun room.
