***—-DO NOT HIRE—-*** STOLEN MONEY and only finished 50% of the work.
I’m from West Mifflin PA (a borough of Pittsburgh PA.) In August, I had hired a contractor to perform major repairs on 2 homes I own in the amount of $21,650 for all work. On one house, I needed the detached garage sided and painted, I needed a new roof, the chimney needed pointed and the exterior needed painted. On this home, the roof, garage and half of the exterior of the house had been painted with major runs and overspray on the previously painted white trim. On the other home, I had a roof installed and the house was prepared for the siding job. I Made the mistake of prepaying for the siding, at the contractors recommendation in order for him to purchase the siding. The guarantee from the contractor was that all of the work would be completed prior to Pittsburghs 1st snowfall. If you know anything about Pittsburgh, it starts snowing in November. Nonetheless, I have 2 very incomplete homes and I had prepaid the contractor $7650 with my out of pocket expenses being at $19,000 thus far. It has been 3 months since I’ve heard from this contractor at this point. The contractor will not return calls, texts or emails and when he knew I wasn’t home he came and took all of his valuable tools and ladder equipment, leaving behind used up materials. I simply want the work completed ASAP or I will be taking any and all extreme legal actions possible to get my prepaid funds returned. Furthermore, I’d like to ensure this contractor will no longer be providing services to other victims unless they can research his complaint history. Jim
Review: We hired Mr. L[redacted] to do the vinyl siding , soffit, facia , and gutters on our home. The work he performed is not up to standard. It is completely unprofessional. There are multiple areas on the house that are falling apart, falling off due to sub-par performance. We have an invoice stating " all work warrantied for 2 years " We have tried to contact Mr. L[redacted] several times starting in July into August concerning the issues. With no contact we resorted to certified mail. The first certified mail that Mr. L[redacted] signed for was on 9/2/15. He did finally call me on 9/2/15. I tried to set a date for him to come out and we couldn't agree on a date. Mr. L[redacted] was very unprofessional on the phone. I am very accustomed to customer service and I was treated with absolute disrespect. I tried multiple times after that via phone but with no success. I had my wife try on her phone so he wouldn't recognize the number and he did answer. The result of that conversation was a meeting at the job site on 10/10/15 at 8:00 am. He did not show. He has not called, text or had any communication since them. We then sent our second certified letter out which Mr. L[redacted] signed for on 11/6/15. In that letter it gave him 5 days to contact us. He has not. We are seeking help to get a resolution on this unfortunate situation. We have photos of his very sub-par, unsatisfactory, and horrific work. We are embarrassed to have this kind of work on our new constructed home. He and his employees were very unprofessional and intimidating to my wife. We do not feel comfortable with him coming back out to the house so we are requesting a partial refund. The refund would be a qualified person to come out and repair all of his mistakes at Mr. L[redacted] expense. We paidDesired Settlement: The total job was strictly labor and its total was $6,500.00. We paid [redacted]or all the material. With the material that will be needed to be replaced and the labor that it will take to replace it. We want reimbursed for whatever it will cost to make the repairs
I’m having similar issues. Did you ever get any refund or resolution to your issue?
