Firstly, R&L Herman, Inc. is a broker, not an insurance company. All cancellation and refund decisions as well as return premium time frame are dependent upon the insurance carrier.
The policy was bound effective 1/*/2014 per insured's request with Leading Insurance Group. Company canceled effective 3/*/2014 due to misrepresentation since [redacted] (Y&N LLC) withheld coverage sensitive information, which the insurance company discovered only after binding the policy. As the policy only canceled on 3/*/14 and the money needs to come from the insurance company to R&L and then gets forwarded to Y&N, this obviously takes some time. Yes, insured did call us numerous times, but we did return both e-mails and calls, though the calls were mostly transferred to his voice-mail. Our countless e-mail and phone correspondence explaining that the money is now at Leading Insurance Group and not with us were not accepted. In commitment to our solid service, R&L went a step further and called LIG several times until we were able to expedite the refund. On 4/**/14, 34 days after the policy canceled, a refund of $1,154.29 was mailed back to insured fr om our office. On 4/**/2014, insured asked for refund breakdown. Our automated e-mail response on 4/**/14 advised that R&L Herman is closed until 4/**/14 for the Passover holiday. We will send the refund breakdown to [redacted] today.
We are confident the above addresses all our client's concerns. We are sending client an e-mail today to ensure this matter is settled.

Review: I got a insurance from this company and this company cancelled the insurance and refuge to give me refund on the premium paid to them.I paid premium 1500 on ** Dec to the company through credit card.Now, it has been 4 months and I never received my refund. In addition, the company person is not doing due diligence to give me my money. I have emailed them 5 times regarding the information and called them 5 time and left messages. I do not get call and no email back. All, I get from them is we are working to get your refund. They did not provide the breakdown and how the refund be calculated. The policy was cancelled. The [redacted] name is [redacted] and [redacted] passed me to deal with secretary ([redacted]) who did not help much and took vacation all the time and did not follow up. I asked to speak to [redacted] or company president but was never allowed or given information - No way to solve my problem - no customer rep or complain process. Phone number: ###-###-#### (ask for [redacted] or [redacted]) I want my refund for cancelling the policy and not providing me the product that I wanted. This company license needs to be revoked for taking advantage of military families. They are falsely advertising and not providing the service they promised.Desired Settlement: I want my refund (1500) and explanation of how they figure the refund amount if the amount is not in full amount. Expedite the check to my bank directly or to my address. License revoked of the company for taking advantage of military familities.Fraud for false advertising and procedures.
