[redacted] of Quad State Solar took $4000 from me on a deposit which required the action of the district court in Hempstead to return after [redacted] was fired for incompetence, malfeasance, and failure to perform his duty.
[redacted] misrepresented the cost of the system he proposed to install for me and subsequently, he miscalculated / misrepresented the size of my [redacted] rebate; [redacted] then attempted to file an incorrect and fraudulent application, on my behalf with [redacted].
[redacted]s electrician provided me with incorrect and improper technical information on the size of the system I should require and the proper location for the inverters.
[redacted]s roofer caused $350 worth of damage to my roof when he examined it.
After having my deposit for almost one-half year, [redacted] was unable to secure required approval and permits from the village review board.
After I fired [redacted] for dereliction, malpractice, and non-performance of his duty, [redacted] attempted to abscond with my $4000 deposit and disappeared.
To secure the return of my deposit, I was forced to file a lawsuit against [redacted] in district court in Hempstead. The Court awarded me the return of my deposit, interest, costs, and fees.
After almost 3 years of my trying, and after being completed by the Judge, [redacted] paid his damages in full.
Note: The facts of the case and decision of the court is a matter of public record and avaialble online for public review - [redacted].
I subsequently hired GreenLogic to complete what [redacted] / Quad state solar was unable to complete. After the correct application was filed with [redacted] and the village, the job was completed to my full satisfaction.

Review: Purchased a solar energy system with 10 year warranty in 2010. System stopped working in 2012. The business has not fixed the problem (or even responded to correspondence) for a year now.Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

[redacted],

Apologies for the delays in getting the display replaced on your inverter. I now have received the part from the manufacturer, after a lengthy delay (they changed models and had some parts shortages, as well as some delays attributable to QSS).

Please let me know when you want me to install the module, as well as perform a system health check to insure that everything is operating properly.

I am CC:ing [redacted] of the Revdex.com on here, to serve as my response to her request for an answer to your complaint.

Best,

Quad State Solar, Inc.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

In regard to my complaint submitted on 8/**/2013 against Quad State Solar, Inc., ID [redacted], please be advised that the complaint is not resolved. Despite your correspondence and numerous emails, texts and phone calls from me, the business owner has not repaired the unit and has not made an appointment to repair the unit. Once again, this system is under warranty and the business owner has been on notice for over a year now that it is non-functional and has not met his professional and contractual obligations. I renew my complaint.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

[redacted],

We serviced your PV system today.

The defective display board was replaced, the system was reset, and given an overall health check.

All is operating properly.

Attached is a photo showing the (now) working unit.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

Apologies, again, for the slow resposne.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Review: I purchased a solar energy system from [redacted] at Quad State five years ago with a ten year guarantee on parts and service and a ten year guarantee on the roof from leaks. The system has stopped working on several occasions and it has been very difficult to get the vendor to repair it. In fact, last time the repair was made only after a Revdex.com complaint. The system stopped working again early this summer. [redacted] never came to repair it. Then the roof leaked and the entire roof had to be replaced and the solar panels had to be removed. [redacted] was supposed to come in July and repair and reinstall but has not showed up or returned phone calls or emails since then.Desired Settlement: Repair and reinstall this system.
