Mr [redacted] came looking for our services for disposing of his front yard sod, prepping area, and delivering and installing two pallets of St Augustine sodWhile on site, Mr [redacted] expressed an interest on the additional service of removing a big root popping up all along the yardAfter we give him a price for the additional service, and he agrees to pay, we take care of the installation of the sod as well as the removal of the rootsHe pays us the balance on his original receipt, but tells us that he owes nothing more for the additional service since he gave our employees (2) a tipAfter explaining to him that we had talked about the extra charge, he continues to deny it and is firm on the idea that the tip should have covered the service, and adds that if we don’t comply, he will start a report with the Revdex.comWe let go of this charge, and talk to our guys regarding any tips when additional work is doneFast forward two weeks, and we get a phone call fron Mr [redacted] regarding his grassHe is demanding we come replace the grass that didn’t take stating that one of our team members (not a manager) told him the grass is guaranteedFirst of all, we never expressed any guarantee on the grass, because we simply do not guarantee this serviceWe guarantee the trees that we plant, but the grass is not under guaranteeIt is up to the homeowner to fertilize and care for his/her newly installed grassAgain, Mr [redacted] makes the same remark we heard a couple weeks back, if we don’t comply, he will start a report with the Revdex.comWe will stand behind our policies on this matterThe only thing we are able to do is recommend products that will help with Mr [redacted] grass problem, and if he gets in contact with us, we would be happy to make these recommendations?
Tell us why here...Mr ***, here at *** Nursery we do not keep grass in stock because we like to provide our customers with fresh cut grassEvery order for sod is special ordered, and yours was not an exceptionWe picked up your pallets that same morning and installed that same day, so the grass was in excellent condition when we installedAfter installation, our job is done, and it is up to the owner to water and/or fertilize their newly installed grass.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
*** *** First of all I did NOT tip anyone I gave them extra money to remove a root NOT a tipThat does not take away from the poor quality of grassI still have brown patch and nut sage through out my new sodPlease let my complaint stand as a negative on their accountThank you
