FromJohn *** of Provincial Mudjacking Systems & Tower Construction
In July of I quoted on a garage pad with "curb walls and a 'apron and approx 36' of fence ( gate included at *** *** ***'s residenceI was also at the tail end of another job around Aug 18/when I started ***'s job which tied up approx $200,of my money after all the excavation was done, gravel was bought & compacted & formwok was completed I asked *** for a draw on Aug 21/of $on Aug 25/I had to go into the hospital for surgery so I had my crew pour & finish the concrete padAfter wks when I got out of the hospital my crew & I went to finish up the job (curb walls & a piece of sidewalk) my crew started unloading some material and *** came out and said she change her mind about the " curb and had hired someone else to do the fenceI said I was okay with that and went and got my invoice book while my crew reloaded the formsI adjusted the quote accordinglyThe $I was charging her was quite fair considering the extra fill had to bring in and the apron was sq ft bigger than quoted The $does not include fence or curbs or sidewalks I have been to ***'s several times to collect the $balance but she will not answer the doorThe warranty is stated on the bottom of the quotation sheet and I stand by by work & warranty

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/12/01) */
I went to the consumer home with one of my employees and addressed the issues. There was no one home at the time. I will contact the consumer as a follow-up.

My name is John [redacted] of Provincial Mudjacking Systems and I did an estimate at Mrs [redacted]'s residence consisting of a fence to build 20x20 garage pad with a 3' apron and 6" curbs on it and a small piece of sidewalk. The concrete price was agreed and the fence was not. I told her that I would...

give her a new price on the fence later she agreed to that. Excavation ans formwork started shortly after that and the concrete was poured and got out 5 wks later and the second day out of the hospital we went over to form the curbwalls and finish a bit of sidewalk. I had 4 employees with me that day [redacted] came running out and said she changed her mind about the curbs I said ok what about it at a later date. Then I gave her a bill for what we had done so far she said that was too much and was going to ask a friend of hers what the job was worth. That was approx the 1st week in Oct/15 and have been over to collect numerous times but she will not answer the door. John [redacted]

I Hans [redacted] of Edmonton AB did some work for John [redacted] of Provincial Mudjacking we did some cement work for a [redacted] in Millwood on August 25/ 2015 poured a garage pad and placed and finished it about that time John got admitted into the hospital for throat surgery five weeks latter myself John [redacted] and Mike [redacted] and a few more employees went back to finnish the curbwork and a piece of sidewalk the owner [redacted] come out and said she wasn't interested in setting the curbs and sidewalk done so John wrote her up a bill for the work that was done she looked at the bill and said it was way too much. She said it was going to get a friend to come over and look at it and see if the price John charged was reasonable.

Regarding complaint from [redacted] about Provincial mudjakcing
Prov. MudJacking contracted to form & pour garage pad & curb walls and replace parts of the fence on the 18th Aug. The pad was poured on Aug 25th and 5 weeks later we went back to finish the rest but were told she had changed her mind and did not want anymore work done at that time so we packed up the tools and material and left.
After several phone calls and visits Mr [redacted] was unsuccessful in getting paid for the part of the job he had done and she filed the complaint with the B.B.B. Mike [redacted] employee of Provincial Mudjacking

Thank you [redacted] for your email advising you have taken over my case and for requesting a copy of the invoice and receipt from the Contractor.
I honestly do want a resolution not only to my billing but to this long nightmare. I only request that you give me the time and opportunity to provide you with the information that you require to make a fair judgement on both sides for this complaint. I am unable at this time to commit to a settlement amount until both sides have been able to provide you facts and documentation for you to review.
I hope that is a fair request.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
