Check number *** was written for $and mailed to the family on June 2nd per our last response. At this point the check has not cleared our bank account indicating that they have not deposited the check. I am certain the check would have reached the family via the postal service and I did not feel a need to send via certified mail to rectify this situation. If indeed the funds were not received, I am willing to write another check and this one will be sent via certified mail requiring a signature. I can also issue an electronic transfer via *** if preferredWe are a family owned and operated business that has been serving the *** *** since and our reputation is very important to us. It is important to us that we "fix things that are broken" and in this case we need to ensure proper communication of our policies and procedure to family's that have chosen to put their children in our care. Additionally, if this was an ongoing situation in which a response was not being provided, my personal cell phone number is provided in the literature received upon enrollment. I wish the *** *** had contacted me directly to discuss this situation. We are trying diligently to resolve this situation and hope that the *** *** is satisfied with the outcome--the refund of their $55.Kindest regards,*** ***

It has always been our policy to charge the fees as they come due for all families currently enrolled--these are not pending enrollments it is for currently enrolled families. There have been numerous times we have been told that children were not going to attend or were leaving who have not...
over the last 17 years and keeping track of potential withdrawals to verify who has paid fees is not possible. Once a family definitively puts a withdrawal date in writing, our office has always worked with a family in terms of prorating fees or refunding these fees. I was under the impression that the [redacted] had been informed of this policy. Per our policy, a refund will be sent to the family for the $55.00 registration fee upon their daughter's last day of attendance.

We received a check in the mail on 6/9/17 for $55. Thank you. It was postmarked however on 6/8/17 so you might want to check with your post office about them holding onto the mail for several days before processing. We attempted numerous times to try to resolve this issue before filing a compliant. I emailed multiple times and was either ignored or told the same response (the owner has said that we charge all families enrolled at that time) never mentioning the policy that it would ever be refunded to us. My husband stopped in and talked with the office manager who promised she or the owner would call him back by the end of the day and never received a response back that day or any time after that. I am sorry we had to resort to filing a compliant but all other attempts had failed. It also might be a good idea to make sure the office manager is aware of these type of policies as she obviously was not.
