9/15/Dear *** ***,We are responding to the complaint that was filed with Revdex.com customer *** *** *** Called our office to make an appointment for a consultation regarding our weight loss programDuring the Call she was informed and notified that there was a $75,consult feeFurthermore, she was told if she joined the program, we would apply that credit towards the program feeWe are unable to provide fee information over the phoneThe main reason for this is that we do not know until after meeting the patient in person exactly how the weight loss program will be customized for themOur weight loss program is very unique and each program varies from patient to patient. At the time of her appointment, *** *** voluntarily did pay her $fee for consultationDuring that visit her weight was taken, her height was checked to determine her BMIThese data points cannot be done over the phone*** *** was then placed in an exam room, where her consultation took placeI asked *** *** a series of questions, regarding who was her Primary Care Physician was and if she had any medical conditionsWe also asked her if she had been on any past diets if any, her goal weight and reviewed exercise regimensThese are all components that assist us in determining which diet program will work best for themOur program is not only just losing weight but keeping the weight offIn our program we medically monitor the patient weekly, show patients to have a healthy lifestyle, and eat healthy and exerciseWe also offer meal replacementsDuring the consultation we begin with getting patients information first, then reviewing all the steps of the programThe program fee is to cover the expense that is not covered by insurance. At the end of the Consultation, *** *** did sign our form Stating that all the information was reviewed with herSince we never Said that the Consultation was free, and did tell her it would be applied to the program fee if she joined, she was aware that $75,was for the consult and she did receive the consultWe feel our consult fee is fair and reasonable given that we are giving our time to not only get information from the patient but to provide the patient with information and answer all their questionsIt is unfortunate that *** *** was not able to financially afford the total program feeBut we still provided our end with a full consult. Therefore, we do not feel *** *** is due a refundIf you should have any questions, please contact me at ###-###-####

I am rejecting this response...

because:
The letter sound nice but that is NOT what happened.  I was initially told about the $75 fee but I also asked the costs associated with the program BEFORE coming in which was not disclosed to me prior to the appointment.  If I had been given the information I asked for BEFORE the appointment, I would NOT have made the appointment to begin with as it was not affordable.  In industry, this is known as a bait and switch and is an unsavory / unprofessional business practice.
Additional, I was REQUIRED to pay the FEE before the appointment.  During and after the appointment I was treated badly and with a high hand.  There are much better ways to make money then creating people.
This entire situation could have been avoided if the initial information I requested was disclosed prior to the appointment.  I completed reject their response.  It is absurd and yet another example of their high handed business practices.

Review: On 18JUN2014, I went for a weight loss consultation. Prior to this appointment, I spoke with Loraine and asked for costs associated with their program. She was hestiant to disclose this information but said food cost for 5 meal a day replace run about 150 per week and that the cost of the consult would be applied to program cost but not food. At this time, I indicated I was on a budget and need to understand the cost to make sure I could afford the program. When I got through the consult at they end consult, there was surprise $795 program cost that was never disclosed to me. If I had know about this cost, I would not have come to the consult since the program wasn't affordable to me. This was bate and switch program. I asked for a refund and it was denied. I am not even sure what the consult was for. They did so over some back information concerning the program but very little details. This was information that could have been convenyed on the phone or with a white paper. Loriane said she collected some medical information what this information was remains a mystery to me and she was not a doctor so I am not sure what she would have done with medical information anyway. Simply put this was a matter that could have been 100% avoided if proper fee information was disclosed prior to the consult. It was extremely misleading and in the end I, the consumer, had to pay for...well nothing. The office should be honest concerning fees when directly asked rather than conducting a bate and switch scheme.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the $75.00 consultantion feed.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: I called at 8am on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 to schedule an appointment. I spoke with [redacted] scheduled me for an appointment at 1:15pm. I am sick and took off from work to see a doctor. I came in around 9:30 to sign a release form for my family doctor from [redacted] to send my medical records. When I had arrived at 1:10pm (5 mins. early), my records had not arrived. I called my doctor and they informed me that their fax machine was being worked on and would fax the records as soon as they could. The fax did come in however before they arrived, I asked the office manager if I would be charged two co pays if I went ahead to see the doctor. She asked why and I told her that I am prescribed to adderall and we are waiting for the records. Fax machines break on everyone - this is no one's fault. She took my prescription bottle to the back to show the doctor. She came back and said the doctor wouldn't make a decision until he saw my records. I thought, fair enough, then I asked to wait until the records came in or if I needed to see the doctor now. [redacted] started to tell [redacted], the office manager, the situation. [redacted] turned away from me quickly and seemed to have reprimanded [redacted] right at the front desk. [redacted] did not answer my original question and seemed to have gotten angry for what I didn't think was anything more than just a question about how I should pay so I didn't have to pay twice. When she returned, the fax came in. She took my files to [redacted] and returned to rudely inform me that the files were too generic. She said that [redacted] Law does not allow Internal Medicine / General Practioners to write prescriptions for attention deficit disorder. She told me that I would have to see a Behavioral Specialist if I wanted to renew my prescription (that I have had successfully from my family doctor for years!). I took a moment to decide if I should go ahead and see [redacted] for my illness. She asked me if I wanted to see him and I said yes. She then immediately said he had already left for the day. (at 1:45pm). I asked her why she had asked me if I wanted to see him, if he had already left? She rudely snapped at me. I asked if I could have a doctor's note saying that I was here even if I hadn't been seen. I work 7 days a week and took off of work to see a doctor. She said no because I was not a paying patient. I decided to leave. I asked for her name and left the building. I got in my car and began to cry because she was so completely mean to me and her staff. If [redacted] couldn't write me the prescription, then why did I have to wait for one hour, be treated so rudely, given false information, witness her maltreatment to her staff and then cry leaving more ill than I had arrived.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from [redacted]. I would also like to know that she has apologized to her staff for being rude to them in front of a new customer. I would also like a call from [redacted] to speak with him about my concern.
