The following is my account of the claims made by Mr***: In the fall of 2015, my company, Proscapes Virginia Inc, completed a full lawn rehab to his front and back yard turf areasThis installation process is one we’ve been using very successfully for over a decade nowUpon completion,
full payment was received as Mr*** verbalized his complete satisfaction with the initial installation. I personally made two additional follvisits in late fall to the property to monitor progressUpon inspection, the new lawn was deemed a complete success with over 90% germination rateI was pleased that, based on my observation, it was clear that the new seed had received the required level of irrigation for a fall install. While I was in the neighborhood this spring, I stopped by to confirm success and was greeted with a lush, carpet-like turf as confirmation of a successful fall installAt this time I followed up with Mr*** by phone to confirm his satisfaction one last time and to offer our annual lawn treatments as further upkeep to his new lawnHe seemed more than satisfied with our services at this point, but kindly declined my offer of further assistance in keeping it healthy, saying that he will be able to perform the needed treatmentsThis is the point where any reasonable person would consider my company’s obligation completely filled. Fast forward to today; I received a notice of Mr***’ complaint that hinges on two points: His initial claim is his dissatisfaction that I did not respond to an email in late summer regarding the condition of the new lawnThis part is trueI recall receiving his email, and since I didn’t respond right away, I completely forgot about itThere is certainly no excuse for lack of communication in business; I just forgotThat is apparently all it took for him to escalate the situation to the Revdex.com, a one line emailNo follow-upNothing. His second claim as stated in the Revdex.com letter is that the ‘materials used were contaminated with lawn grubsWildlife feeding on the grubs destroyed the entire lawn.’ Since our materials containing grubs is an absolute impossibility on a biological level, I’m not sure how he came to this conclusionWe use only the best materials available from the most reliable suppliers just so these situations don’t happen. Instead of sewage, chicken waste or other livestock waste compost, we use a product called FibreGroFibreGro is a manufactured compost made of 100% recycled, composted cardboardAt the end of the manufacturing process, the almost finished product is ‘cooked’ at temps of hundreds of degrees for pasteurization to increase safety, stability and consistencyThis process also guarantees the absence of any harmful pathogens and other organisms, especially bugsTherefore, it is a 100% impossibility that ANY of the materials my company used on Mr***’ property was the cause of his issuesOpen and shut. I will take a moment now to summarize the main points of these unfounded claims to be certain of your understanding: -In the fall of and spring of 2016, my company delivered on the desired services as contracted by the customer with 100% verbally confirmed satisfaction.-Upon offering any further assistance with his new lawn this spring, customer declinedMy job was clearly done at this point.-Customer reached out late summer one time and one time only with a one line email to relay his concern.-I did not respond to his emailThat’s my fault.-Customer decides that a single, one line email is plenty notice and escalates his perceived issues to the Revdex.com.-Customer makes completely unfounded and unsupportable claims that my company brought grubs to his property without even attempting to research the very product he claims did the damage.-I spoke with Mr*** this evening in an attempt to further educate him about our products and processWhile not conceding my clear evidence that grubs were not brought in with my materials, he told me ‘we are all good’ and to convey this message to the Revdex.com.-I also spoke with my compost supplier today to confirm what I already knew and they said they will, if needed, attest to the quality of the product and it’s manufacturing process. That’s about it; pretty black and whiteI could also go further into where the grubs come from and why there may have been a perceived abundance of them this summer, but all would agree, his claims have been sufficiently proven false. I would expect even the most casual observer here would conclude there is absolutely no connection between the FibreGro compost my company uses and Mr***’ grub problems
