Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] First, most of what was said in their response is completely fabricated, just like their claim that an airbag light was on Second, as you can clearly see from the verbiage of their response, this business called my home to harass me, not the other way around Third, I do not accept the notion that I do not have any right or business to submit a complaint regarding a car I own Logically, if they want to invoke some sort of "rule" that says that I can't complain because my wife (who by the way, never, ever in her life has said "my husband is going to kill me") brought the car in, then logically the owner's wife shouldn't be the one to respond to the complaintFourth, what sense would it make for this guy to call my house, offer a refund (which I would have accepted), and then claim that I didn't accept the refund? This guy was angry that he was called out on the carpet for fabricating a way to make more money from a state inspection The car in question was in their shop for about an hour, which is how long the state police say an inspection should take Yet this sheister charged an extra hour of labor on top of the inspection to fix a problem that didn't and doesn't exist Please ask the shop to detail the "repair" that was performed What a completely dishonest and disreputable business I will make it my goal in life to tell literally everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com Case #[redacted] – Progressive Auto WorksTo Whom It May Concern,Mrs. [redacted] brought a 2004 Lexus ES330 for state
inspection to Progressive Auto Works on June 6, 2016.  During this state inspection a dash light was
found to be on relating to the air bag. This...

particular light is covered by the
Virginia State Police’s Safety Inspection Manual. Two additional warning lights
were also on, however, they are not part of a Virginia State Inspection. Mrs. [redacted] was told about the three warning lights on her
dash. She was informed that two of the lights were not part of the state
inspection and did not need to be repaired at this time, but the light related
to the air bag was part of the state inspection. She was given the option to
have a rejection sticker put on the car or to have a mechanic diagnose the
problem. She was advised it would take approximately 45 minutes to an hour to
diagnose the problem. Mrs. [redacted] gave the okay to have the airbag light
researched. She was given the option to wait or to take one of Progressive Auto
Work’s loaner cars. She chose to wait.Progressive Auto Work’s mechanic pulled the airbag light
code B1650 – Occupant Classification System Fault and Code B1785 Front Occupant
Classification Sensor, left hand side collision detection. This was consistent
with the sheet metal damage that was observed on the vehicle. Further
diagnostics found the occupant sensor in the right front seat working
correctly. However, there were bottles and trash underneath the seat that were
pushing on the sensor connector. It was concluded that the code was set because
of the damage on left side of the vehicle. However, the detection system could
not reset due to the trash pushing on the connector. The bottles and trash were
removed from under the seat. The airbag system was then reset. This was all noted on the repair order, as well as, the
additional dash warning lights that were on and recommended factory preventive
maintenance. These preventive maintenance recommendations are set by the

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
First, most of what was said in their response is completely fabricated, just like their claim that an airbag light was on.
Second, as you can clearly see from the verbiage of their response, this business called my home to harass me, not the other way around.
Third, I do not accept the notion that I do not have any right or business to submit a complaint regarding a car I own.  Logically, if they want to invoke some sort of "rule" that says that I can't complain because my wife (who by the way, never, ever in her life has said "my husband is going to kill me") brought the car in, then logically the owner's wife shouldn't be the one to respond to the complaint.
Fourth, what sense would it make for this guy to call my house, offer a refund (which I would have accepted), and then claim that I didn't accept the refund?  This guy was angry that he was called out on the carpet for fabricating a way to make more money from a state inspection.  The car in question was in their shop for about an hour, which is how long the state police say an inspection should take.  Yet this sheister charged an extra hour of labor on top of the inspection to fix a problem that didn't and doesn't exist.  Please ask the shop to detail the "repair" that was performed.
What a completely dishonest and disreputable business.  I will make it my goal in life to tell literally everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.

[redacted]

Review: Brought car in for state inspection. Car had no issue prior to arriving at shop. While there, staff claims they need to "take a look at something", presumably inspection related. Proceed to "fix" an airbag light that was NEVER on. Afterwards, charged an extra $100 on top of inspection price for labor performed, but never approved. To be clear - the problem they claimed to exist simply wasn't there. It was fabricated.Desired Settlement: Preferably, this place should lose their state inspection license. Aside from that, a refund and a promise to NEVER, EVER charge someone for a service without their express permission to do so would be on par with what I'd expect from small business.
