*** set traps adjunct to our traps in an attempt to undermine our efforts to do our jobWhen asked to remove his traps, *** refused. *** was warned we would remove out traps if he continued trapping*** refused***'s interference and his refusal to remove his traps constitute poor
owner cooperation and puts him in violation of the agreement that he signed, giving us reason to discontinue serviceHis threats to get an attorney and start a lawsuit are further indication of his poor cooperationWhen he was unable to catch the animal himself, he called to request service, againWe offered to reset traps if he removed his traps and paid a $re-set fee. *** refused to resume service
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/02) */
This client signed a contractual agreement which states that she is responsible for and agrees to pay all wildlife service invoices for her bat removal issues
This client paid the initial service/inspection fee with a check, then provided a
credit card and authorized payment of the assessed bat exclusion servicesPayment was due 50% at start of bat exclusion work and 50% upon completion
This client complained to the Professional Wildlife Control office when the final payment was invoiced to the credit card that she had provided for paymentAt that time, she was offered an opportunity to have the credit card refunded if she preferred to pay by checkShe did not provide a check and her response was to complain to the Revdex.com
Bat exclusion is dependent upon the cycles of both bats and the weather, which cannot be predicted or controlledIt is not uncommon for bat exclusion to begin in the fall, stop in the winter for hibernation and resume the following spring/summer
This complaint has no merit
Wildlife service companies are required to be fully licensed & are highly regulated in MinnesotaProfessional Wildlife Control is licensed, insured and compliment with all applicable laws
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A business cannot withdraw funds from a private account months after the initial engagement to remove the bats without explicit approvalI did not accept the offer to pay by check or another way because I agreed to pay the billThe issue was not the bill, the issue was taking money from my personal account withour asking or my permissionI asked that you gaurantee you have destroyed my banking information and still do not have an answer on thatI will never refer business to you
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/11) */
Once all invoices have been paid and the file has been closed, credit card information is not kept on file
Ms. [redacted] received a preliminary inspect on 9-4-15 & our technician found bat issues. Since bats go into hibernation when the temperatures reach 50 degrees at night or lower, all fall bat issues are scheduled for a follow up inspection and then exclusion in the following spring. ...
This was explained several times to Ms. [redacted]. During the spring inspection, our technician identified the scope of the bat issues & suggested an exclusion plan. Ms. [redacted] refused to have the entire scope of the exclusion completed, opting for only a partial exclusion. She was told repeatedly that a partial exclusion would not solve her bat issues, and she continued to insist on only a partial exclusion, which our technician documented on his worksheet. When the bat issues were not resolved by a partial exclusion, as predicted, Professional Wildlife Control suggested again that Ms. [redacted]'s bat issues would not be resolved without completing the entire bat exclusion plan. Ms. [redacted] refused again & refused payment as well. Ms. [redacted] signed an agreement with Professional Wildlife Control agreeing to pay for all services performed. None the less, we had payment issues with Ms. [redacted] and her credit cards were declined.
I am rejecting this response because:
In response to PWC`s message ; I did set a trap to catch the raccoons in my attic , but in no way to undermine their efforts to do their job. I hired them on a Wednesday and paid a fee of $241.00 . At that time they set their traps and informed me that they would check them each day and hopefully remove the raccoons shortly. At the time I hired them they informed me that they didn`t work wknds but were fairly confident they would catch them by Friday. Having no experience in these matters I left it in their seemingly capable hands . On Friday I was informed that they had not caught the raccoons and would not return until Monday ..Having raccoons in your attic is not a pleasant experience , they keep you up all night , every night . On Friday afternoon I decided to go to Fleet Farm and buy my own trap in an effort to try to catch them myself . At no time was I told, and nowhere in PWC`s contract does it say that I was not allowed to do this . Of course I failed to catch them . On Monday their tech called me and said he was told by his boss to remove their traps because I had set my own . I was shocked by this . I never refused to remove my trap as they stated . I never was warned that they would remove theirs if I left mine up . I proceeded to call their office and was treated disrespectfully by their office person . All she would of had to do was to tell me to remove my trap and they could continue with the job that I hired them for. She rudely refused and hung up on me . I since spoke to 3 other similar companies , one of which completed the job for me , and was told that this business practice was unheard of .
I am rejecting this response because:The response says that they preformed a spring 2016 inspection which they did not. The only inspection was in Sept of 2015. I never insisted on a partial exclusion of the bat issue. I paid for a FULL exclusion of the bat issue. Why would I want to get rid of half of the bats ??? Also their response says they" preformed "a partial bat exclusion and that is a lie. The only time this company ever came to my property was in Sept of 2015 to do an inspection and to place a small amount of caulk on some holes, If they consider that a partial exclusion its a joke. Also there was never any issue with payment for this process. This business was paid in full for a job that was never started let alone completed.
