I do remember servicing *** *** crown Victoria, she had came in and said she wanted her wheel seal replaced due to it leaking, at the time I also advised her that her brake shoes where covered in gear oil and would need to be replaced due to contaminationunfortunately we just don't
replace brake shoes on one side so it would become a rear brake serviceAt the time of the service the wheel bearing was in good shape where we could just re pack the bearing with grease and reinstall itWhen *** *** returned a months later we inspected the vehicle free of charge due to it being covered under warranty..at this time the bearing had failed and caused the seal to failI advised her that if the seal had failed from being faulty or being installed incorrectly then all the work would be covered under warranty, but since the seal failed due to a bad bearing that I could cover only the seal and labor to do it under warranty but the bearing and brake shoes because they have been contaminated again from the leak would have to be paid forShe did bring her brother at the time and I explained it to him also because he said he too is a mechanic and understood that the bearing failed and would need to be replacedI would love to gain *** *** business and trust we are a small local shop and we treat each car as it's a family members carSorry she feels treated unfairly but we are just following our warranty policy's.Thank you*** ***
I am rejecting this response because:over the phone I was not told the parts I was asked what kind of car it is a price and then that if I came by a certain time it would be done even cheaper which was not even true.
Customer called on Saturday and asked our service writer how much is a tune up. We quote all tune up as spark plugs and wires. We quoted her over the phone and stated to her to change out the spark plug and wires with labor it would be $200+ tax. Customer showed up a little time after and...
requested to get the work done. She was already told over the phone of the work and parts that will be replaced. We then proceeded with changing out the spark plugs and wires. We showed customer old parts when they came to pick up. Customer was told of parts to be replaced prior to coming in and getting work done. If customer wants to replace distributor cap and rotor we can but there will be a additional charge. Total price of job was $208.25 customer brought in $10 off coupon and paid $198.25.
