Pro-Star Realty are among the best liars and cheats in the real estate world. They had three weeks to prepare the house we rented through them. It was not livable on moving day and we spent three days making it habitable. There was no hot water because the broken water heater was not fixed. The stove was unusable. It tilted backward, had no burner pans, and the oven did not work. When I tried to level it, I had to finish laying tile under the stove, clean, caulk and paint the wall behind it because of chemicals and fire damage. The oven door handle was bent in a V shape and kept the door from closing correctly. There were no drain plugs in the sinks or tub. Grass was growing through the walls into the rooms. The floors required a gallon of detergent to get up the thick, smokey, chemical laiden dirt. The blinds were unusable, broken or missing. The cupboards were full of grease and dirt from fire damage. One bedroom door was locked with a dead bolt, with no key. We had to break in through the window to open the room. One bedroom was totally scratched up with dog claw marks, smeared with dog poop, and painted with splotches. The doors were off the hall closet, and linen closet. The curtains were rags and filthy. The master bathroom shower had a half-inch crack in the corner and was unusable. There were four unusable, non-working and dangerous electrical outlets. The master bedroom had a one foot by one foot hole in the wall. The storage room was locked with an armored padlock and no key. The storage room was filled with junk and boxes. The backyard was trashed out with blocks and bricks everywhere. The short wall beside the house was dismantled and open. There was a dresser and book case, two five gallon buckets of what looked like chemicals, paint cans, pesticides, and weed killer stored on the property. The patio was buried under four inches of dead grass and debris. The worst problem: Someone with a key periodically entered our house and walked around. Things would be moved and doors were left unlocked. Asbestos based popcorn ceiling texture continually flaked and fell around the house.

I will give them credit for this: They provided smoke detectors. However, I had to install them myself.

If all of this is not bad enough, they made the problem ten times worse when they refused to refund our deposit claiming they needed to pay for cleaning up behind us.

Of course they did not complain that we installed two ceiling fans and a dishwasher, nor did they did not complain that we cleaned up and painted the dog poop room.

IF WE HAD ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO WE WOULD NOT HAVE MOVED INTO THAT HOUSE! OUR RENTAL AGREEMENT DID NOT HAVE A CLEANING CLAUSE AND NO CLEANING FEE WAS PAID. THEY OWE US $850 AND AN APOLOGY. IT IS MY CONVICTION BECAUSE OF THE CONDITION THE HOUSE WAS IN, IT HAD BEEN USED FOR MAKING METH AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN TORN DOWN. MY NEXT STEP IS TO TURN THE HOUSE INTO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR ASBESTOS AND CHEMICAL INSPECTION.

Do not rent a house from these people!
