Pro Bikes Reviews (2)

Review: This is a text copy of a customer service email I tried to send to the company: I need someone to please contact me who can productively and objectively handle a serious customer service issue I've experienced at the Pro Bikes outlet in South Hills. I am currently in the process of contacting the Revdex.com and several other customer-complaint-related services on the internet, as well as initiating the acquisition of legal advice (along the lines of 'public humiliation' and egregious mishandling of a perfectly valid customer complaint). The manager on site ( a "[redacted]) accused me of being unduly rude to him on the phone, when in fact I was only very reasonably and peaceably beginning to express perplexed frustration over months of apparent mis-truths by him regarding a custom bike build that I have been engaged in for over a year. After several months of being DIRECTLY TOLD of orders being placed by him THAT NEVER WERE; repeated disappointing phone calls by me finding out that HE NEVER PLACED THE ORDERS BUT WOULD IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE (and which never would happen); of a part I ordered over a year ago, and PRE-PAID by me, that has mysteriously disappeared from my records with them on-site (and being told repeatedly for about SIX MONTHS at least that he would take care of it); of being repeatedly told that he would order the parts I needed to finish my bike, and being repeatedly told that he would only charge me "at cost", and that he would have the bike assembled "free of charge" because of the inordinate time that has transpired (TWO AUGUSTS AGO); in all, of being made claims, promises, apparent truths that were ACTUALLY never performed (AGAIN: OVER A PERIOD OF ABOUT SIX MONTHS); these are very reasonable grounds to be frustrated. I continually gave [redacted] the benefit of the doubt at the risk of looking naive and gullible. He seemed to begin trying to cut my follow up phone calls off as soon as possible for various reasons, instead of being totally forthright with me. What I can ascertain of the present situation, is that he feels it is more expedient to BAN ME FROM THE PREMISES of Pro Bikes, calling THE POLICE on me, referring to me in front of 4 other people as "having mental issues", as "possibly being armed", as "making him, the other employees, and the one or two other customers that walked in during these goings-ons as feeling uncomfortable"... This treatment is patently, egregiously ridiculous. He grossly mishandled and mismanaged my situation by telling me a series of inaccuracies and mis-truths (for what exact reason????), instead of being properly truthful, and instead of actually placing orders HE REPEATEDLY SAID DIRECTLY TO ME THAT HE PLACED AND NEVER DID. He hung up on the phone with me when I reasonably expressed a perplexed frustration at being 'blown off' YET AGAIN over "a customer he was with" (YET AGAIN), a walk-in whose business is probably less than an hour or minute old, whereas mine is SIX MONTHS to OVER A YEAR (depending on how you look at it). I then went to the store in person (so as not to be treated like a second-class citizen just because I was on the phone and not a potential commission walk-in), and in less than ONE MINUTE HE TOLD ME TO LEAVE THE PREMISES. I did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to be treated the way I was. I am not in the habit of filing complaints, but this is how bad this situation clearly is to me. I was very improperly treated. I stayed there for the police to arrive so I could have the incident accurately recorded to some extent via an official report (although I am certain they slanted their story AGAINST me with the police officer inside the store (I was outside and did not hear). I was nothing but a valid customer, perplexed as to THE TRUTH, with very valid QUESTIONS that I knew were not going to get answered with any real truth, and the SLIGHTEST MOMENT I express a modicum of frustration, [redacted] opportunistically tries to cover up his gross mismanagement by rubbing me out of the picture, making me out to look like a violent, mentally disturbed, potentially armed malcontent, whose motives were to engage in sociopathic/psychotic/miscreant behavior RATHER THAN JUST TRYING TO LOOK [redacted] IN THE EYE AND ATTEMPT TO GET ONE STRAIGHT ANSWER AND EXPLANATION FROM HIM. This so-called manager has OBVIOUSLY MISHANDLED my situation, and acted very wrong, inciting an insulting situation involving the police against me, causing me to be banned from the site; I am SHOCKED this happened; it was THE FURTHEST from my intentions or motivations. He not only treated me extremely wrong, but made me appear IN A PUBLIC place in front of other people, to look like an irrational, potentially violent trouble-maker. I have no doubt that [redacted] is going to attempt to distort the truth regarding my situation, and claim events went in a way they did not, and to make me out to have bad or weak character. These are core issues here that make this scenario problematic. So, I need someone to reasonably communicate with me on this incident. I also have no choice but to begin an information-gathering endeavor for legal advice for potential litigation.Desired Settlement: For one, I want a refund for a part I ordered several months ago that I never received. Also, I want the manager in question, a "[redacted]" to be reprimanded for his ridiculously unreasonable treatment of me so that he could attempt to 'push me out of the picture' instead of properly and truthfully dealing with me as a ('loyal') customer.

Review: I purchased two bikes from this business that totaled over 2500.00. We were told that when we purchased it they would give us a basket to go on it to carry our dog and other things. I have returned numerous times to get excuses on why they cannot do it. I also purchased a Thule bike rack over 400.00. The latch on it broke the first week. I was told that they ordered the part. When I went to get it fixed they said they could not find the part. Is seems that after they get your money for the bike purchase they really have no use to follow up with the customer. Rest assured I have taken any additional business to a different bike shop.Desired Settlement: Replace the expensive bike carrier. Reimburse me for the bike basket that I had to purchase off of Amazon for the bike that cost me an additional 55.00.
