Dear Mr***,I'd like to sincerely apologize for your frustration in trying to purchase a vehicle at our dealership It's certainly not our intention to have any customer leave less than completely satisfied with their experience so I apologize that we failed you in that regard I think there may be some confusion as to how the transaction works so please allow me to explain it now The only figure the dealership controls is the price of the vehicle, we do not control interest rates or the amount required down on the vehicle Those items are dictated by the banks They set the interest rate at which they will loan money based on the customers credit history; the higher the rate the more risk the bank perceives in that loan based the trade line activity in the customers credit historyWe have no control over that Likewise the banks will determine the percentage of the vehicle's value they are willing to loan against again based on the customers credit history The higher the risk, the more commitment they want from the customer They may, for example, only loan 80% of the vehicle's value thereby requiring the customer to put 20% down which reduces their risk in the event of a repossession Again, we do not control the amount of money the bank will approve a customer towards the purchase of a vehicle I completely understand if you felt that the interest rate of 21% and the required down payment did not work for you but that unfortunately is what the banks offered you based on your credit We certainly will exhaust all avenues to help a customer get into a vehicle that is affordable to them but what we don't do is refuse to refund deposits We have a day money back guarantee so that customers can feel comfortable knowing that if their purchase isn't right for them they can get their money back You gave us a $deposit on the 3rd and after exhausting all avenues to get you financing that was satisfactory we refunded your card on the 10th Refunds on cards require the card to be swiped again or the customer to provide us their card information to be manually entered Our terminals do not credit or debit card numbers to avoid any potential hacking that has happened at other retailers in the past It's just another way to protect our customers so I apologize for inconvenience of having to come in to swipe or provide that information again.I do wish you all the best and if there is anything we can do in the future please do not hesitate to reach out.Sincerely, [redacted] Pride Hyundai of Seekonk

Dear Mr. [redacted],I'd like to sincerely apologize for your frustration in trying to purchase a vehicle at our dealership. It's certainly not our intention to have any customer leave less than completely satisfied with their experience so I apologize that we failed you in that regard. I...
think there may be some confusion as to how the transaction works so please allow me to explain it now. The only figure the dealership controls is the price of the vehicle, we do not control interest rates or the amount required down on the vehicle. Those items are dictated by the banks. They set the interest rate at which they will loan money based on the customers credit history; the higher the rate the more risk the bank perceives in that loan based the trade line activity in the customers credit history. We have no control over that. Likewise the banks will determine the percentage of the vehicle's value they are willing to loan against again based on the customers credit history. The higher the risk, the more commitment they want from the customer. They may, for example, only loan 80% of the vehicle's value thereby requiring the customer to put 20% down which reduces their risk in the event of a repossession. Again, we do not control the amount of money the bank will approve a customer towards the purchase of a vehicle. I completely understand if you felt that the interest rate of 21% and the required down payment did not work for you but that unfortunately is what the banks offered you based on your credit. We certainly will exhaust all avenues to help a customer get into a vehicle that is affordable to them but what we don't do is refuse to refund deposits. We have a 5 day money back guarantee so that customers can feel comfortable knowing that if their purchase isn't right for them they can get their money back. You gave us a $100 deposit on the 3rd and after exhausting all avenues to get you financing that was satisfactory we refunded your card on the 10th. Refunds on cards require the card to be swiped again or the customer to provide us their card information to be manually entered. Our terminals do not credit or debit card numbers to avoid any potential hacking that has happened at other retailers in the past. It's just another way to protect our customers so I apologize for inconvenience of having to come in to swipe or provide that information again.I do wish you all the best and if there is anything we can do in the future please do not hesitate to reach out.Sincerely,[redacted]Pride Hyundai of Seekonk
