WE CHECKED ALL OF THE COMPETITORS ADS FOR THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND AND THE PRICING WAS THE SAME FOR *** *** AS IT WAS FOR LOWE'STHE COST OF THE WASHER WAS LOWER BUT WHEN DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION ARE ADDED IN WE WERE ACTUALLY $LESS THAN *** ***APPARENTLY *** *** DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH TO THE CART TO SEE THE TOTAL.

I did not deal with [redacted] and wished I had. I wanted an inexpensive washing mâchine and did not care about special stuff but never dreamed that a softener spot in a washing machine was special. I did not need stuff like 14 different wash cycles. I had looked on line afterwards and found that [redacted], not lowes had the machine for $200 less. I have the money to buy a decent machine and thought I was getting one. I found that I have to watch the machine because I cannot put softener in separately. I find that the machine starts destroying my clothes. I have used the store before on multiple occassions and dealt with someone other than [redacted] used to steer me to good products and this is a terrible washing machine. They will not accept a return or match the other price. I don't really want this machine. The sad part is that it was Labor Day weekend and all the stores were having sales and I could have gotten a much better machine at a similar price. I was told [redacted] was a good product but neither the store or [redacted] will do anything about this. This is terrible. They said it was unrated and they sold a lot of them but this is a terrible machine. I will not use the company again.

Price Watchers received a call from the complainant on Thursday 8/**/14, shopping for an inexpensive washer to replace her existing washer. She specified that she did not want to spend a lot of money...

because she was preparing to sell her house within the year. We recommended an [redacted], model# NTW4651BQ, at a discounted price of $449 +tax. Our normal selling price for this unit is $469 +tax. Delivery and installation were included and if she wanted the old unit taken away, the charge was $20. We were able to deliver and install the unit within two days time, Saturday 8/**/14.
The complainant accepted the quote and received a detailed receipt by email the same day, Thursday 8/**/14. Shortly after sending the receipt, she sent an email back stating that she had looked at the unit online and questioned that it had knobs instead of a digital control board, the unit was not energy efficient, and had received poor reviews on the site she had visited. We responded that we had sold many of the same units in the past and had received no complaints. If she was interested in purchasing a digital, energy star washer, these units were available starting at $700. She was also reminded that she had specifically requested a basic washer to last only the year or so until her house was sold. She responded in agreement.
Saturday 8/**/14, the [redacted] washer was delivered and installed. The following day, the complainant emailed saying that she felt the unit was poorly made because it did not come with a fabric softener dispenser and mentioned that she'd seen the same washer online at Lowes for $314.99. We immediately went to the Lowes website and saw that the unit was, in fact, listed at $314.99, however there was a $69.99 delivery charge and installation was not included. Their delivery service will only install a washer if the customer purchases a hose kit for an additional $29.99. Lowes also indicated that there would be an additional charge of $30 to install the washer and the first available installation date was Friday 9/*/14. The total amount for the same washer and service that were provided by Price Watchers in the amount of $449.00 +tax, would cost $444.99 +tax from Lowes. We offered to refund the difference of $5.00 to the complainant, to which the complainant responded tha t we were playing games and demanded the difference between the Price Watcher price of $449.00 +tax, which included the unit, delivery, and installation, and the Lowes price of $314.99 which only covers the unit, not the delivery or installation.
Based on the initial request of the complainant, we feel that we recommended the best unit at the best price. Taking into consideration the fact that the complainant has already said that she had researched the unit online, the complainant had the opportunity to double check the features and the functions prior to accepting the quote and subsequent delivery/installation from Price Watchers.

Review: I had seen advertisements for the company as pricewatchers and they claim to be cheaper than other companies. I ordered a product after speaking with a sales rep and I was steered to a poor product and found the same product at a competitor for $150 less. I contacted the company about both issues and they offered me $5 back which is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: They claim to be cheaper than other companies and this is clearly not the case. They are clearly not cheaper and had I realized that I was getting something without a place to put fabric softener, I would have paid more
