On November 3, at approximately 10:PM Priced Rite Towing (PRT) was dispatched by the Pine Beach Police Department to assist with a tow at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Pine Beach, NJThe police and tow truck driver were both on scene at the accidentThe customer complains that
she did not know where her vehicle was being towed to, this is because her husband came to our yard immediately following the accident and demanded access to the vehicleThe husband became irate and Toms River Police Department needed to be called because the husband claimed he would drive through the fence to get his vehicleToms River Police instructed the husband to go home and no further incidents occurred that eveningThe next day November 4th, the complainant came in to retrieve her daughters softball equipment out of the vehicle, at the time she inquired about the charges She was told the charges, $for the hookup fee, $Admin fee, $clean up fee, $35.00/day storage, $for window wrap, and a $yard fee because of the incidents of the previous evening which required us to have a driver on scene till the police could calm down her husband and escort him outPriced Rite Towing is contracted through Pine Beach Police Department and all rates are provided by the police department in a public ordnanceOn November 4th, she also signed a release form acknowledging and taking responsibility for all towing and storage charges related to her vehicle (a copy of this form can be supplied upon request)On November 8th at approximately 12:pm, the customer called and spoke with the owner regarding the charges, we did see an error with the window wrap charges and they were immediately removedShe was told the new balance, informed that our yard was only open till 1:on Saturdays and said she would try and have somebody there that day to pick up her vehicleAt this point the vehicle had been here calendar daysAt approximately 1:the customer called back she was very irate and shouting profanities, she kept stating what she was willing to pay and would throw in an extra $“because she can”I told her that we close at 1:00pm on Saturdays and that she could call on Monday to arrange a pick up for her vehicleWe are a 24HR towing company, our phones are always answered but our office and yard hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and Saturdays 9am-1pmAs of today November 21, the total charges are $We have a form on file which includes the initials and signature of the customer, taking responsibility of all charges
