Review: I went in to arrange my aunt, [redacted], funeral and was informed I was the primary beneficiary and her great grand-daughter the secondary beneficiary. I signed a note that I would be responsible for the bill if the insurance company did not pay. I was also informed after the funeral home was paid I would receive a portion of any refund as would the secondary beneficiary. I called [redacted] to inquire when the refund would be mailed out and was informed it had already been sent to a [redacted], who to the best of my knowledge was not listed as a beneficiary at the time of funeral arrangements. Preston Funeral Home is now stating the policy had been changed which doesn't make sense to me since the only person who had the legal right to change the policy was dead. I have written [redacted] Life Insurance company about this issue and was informed they use whatever information the funeral home sends them regarding beneficiaries ( which doesn't make since to me because I feel they should have the original form in their possession) and referred me to Preston's. I feel like I'm getting the run around on this issue.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a copy of the insurance policy with beneficiaries and signature of my aunt. I am also requesting confirmation [redacted] signature on said form is authentic.

Mr. [redacted] misunderstood that He may have been a beneficiary on a policy on the deceased, however when the claim was submitted to [redacted] Life Insurance Co. the Insurance company verified that HE WAS NOT the beneficiary as chosen by the insured, NOT Preston Funeral Home. We can only submit claims we dot choose or change beneficiaries, contrary to what Mr. [redacted] may think.

Mr. [redacted] signed a claimant statement because the family told us that he MAY HAVE BEEN a beneficiary, not that he WAS a beneficiary.
