Dear Sir/Madam:Please accept this letter as notification that our office is Corporate Counsel for General Contractors, Inc. We are in receipt of the complaint filed by [redacted] and are taking this opportunity to respond. We have investigated this matter thoroughly both with members of the corporation and with the individuals who had "hands on" at the Subject property. Our office has been assured that all work was done in a professional, Competent and timely fashion and that any problems or deficiencies were the direct and proximate result of the homeowner attempting to do items individually. Specifically, [redacted] insisted that he perform some plumbing repair as Well as the moving of a downspout. The allegation of $100,000.00 in damages can only be characterized as Iudicrous. It is strongly asserted by my clients that through their efforts $100,000.00 in repairs had existed and were remedied. My client feels that it is important that it be known that they attempted to work with [redacted] in completing the job in a timely and Workmanlike manner, however, [redacted] refused them access to the property to complete the remaining Work. My clients repeatedly telephoned and emailed [redacted] however, after a time he refused to return any correspondence. As an important aside, you should be aware that [redacted] presented two (2) checks drawn on a closed account. Those checks were for $20,000.00 and $45,000.00 for a total of $65,000.00. My client was made whole on the $45,000.00 check, however, the $20,000.00 check was never replaced.Joseph A. M[redacted]
