patella. Our contract clearly states this and by choosing to do business with us they agree to our terms and conditions. We also contacted this customer’s vet who confirmed that the pet does have luxating patella which is a genetic disorder that is very common in small breed dogs and is not caused by grooming. After speaking with the customers vet directly we contacted her again, and again explained to her that the pet limping had nothing to do with the groom and that it had been confirmed by her own vet. We again explained to her that we would not cover the vet bill for her visit, nor any future visit and definitely not pay for any surgeries. We did as a courtesy refund her bath, as well as advised her to do more research on her pet’s conditions so that she could provide him a good quality of life as this is something she may have to deal with for the pet’s entire life time. We also advised her to contact the breeder she had purchased the pet from to see if his condition was something covered by her puppy contract, in the event it was severe enough and he did require surgery to correct the defect.
