Hello Mr. [redacted], My name is [redacted] and I was the technician that arrived at your house and was also in the office when you called to get an estimate and schedule an appointment. Your quote was based on the information you provided to our office manager. As you stated in your complaint you...

“walked off the size of the rooms” which you came up with 300 sqft of carpet and you had an oversized chair with ottoman and a 7ft sofa. You were quoted $200-$250 after a deep discount of 35%. Our office manager explained to you, “that this is just a quote based on the information you provided and when our technician gets arrives to your house, he will inspected all the carpet and upholstery that you want cleaned and will re-measure with a actual measuring wheel and let you know exactly how much it will cost to clean your carpets and upholstery”. Now I arrived to your house and you showed me everything you want cleaned. You inform me that the chair, sofa and carpets have pet urine but you did not want to pay extra for the urine treatment. You only wanted our basic cleaning. I inspected everything you wanted clean and measure 384 sqft of carpet, 6ft sofa, oversize chair and an ottoman. Your total came to $264 after your 35% discount. You did advise me that it appeared to be a bait and switch. This clearly is not since I am $14 over your under measured “walked off” quote. You did offer to spit the difference but we were already giving you 35% discount and below your other quotes from our competitors ($269-$370) as you stated. You did asked me if I could call my office to get and approval on your counter offer and you told me that, “if I do not get an answer in 10-15 minutes you can get in my van and leave”. You also threaten me and Chem Dry by tell me that you are going to bad mouth us on social media and Yelp. After hearing all this I made an executive decision. I told you that I am sticking to my original price of $264. You then said that, “you going to pay more money and have one of our competitors service you so you can teach us a lesson”. I handed you my written quote and wished you luck, got in my van and left.

Review: This is for Premier Chem-Dry [redacted] or [redacted]. I called several carpet cleaning firms requesting quotes. When I called Premier Chem-Dry, I provided the quotes other firms had provided. Over the phone, I walked off the size of the rooms needed cleaning and provided full details of the upholstery that needed cleaning. The size of the upholstery was actually overestimated on my part. I was provided a quote of "$XXX". However when the technician provided me a written quote it was 32% greater. I advised this appears to be a bait and switch but was willing to split the difference. He called the office and was advised the price was firm and would not changeDesired Settlement: The Revdex.com should sanction this firm due to large discrepancy of estimates, when the company was provided full disclosure of the scope of the project.
