In response to Mr. [redacted] complaint. We worked with Mr. [redacted] in letting him out of his lease early without penalty. Mr. [redacted] had placed an additional $1400 to go towards last months rent in the event of a move out. We were given notice that Mr. [redacted] would be vacating on the date of his...

lease expiration which was June 30th, 1017. We contacted Mr. [redacted] in regards to the outstanding June rent balance of $700 and to avoid a late fee. He said he would come in and pay and never did. We called but their cell phones were not working, we were able to get ahold of Mr. [redacted] at his office number. We did not see keys turned in on June 30th, 2017 , we called on July 3rd, 2017 asking when keys would be turned in to avoid paying pro rated days. That same day Mr. [redacted] dad came into our office and dropped off keys. The remaining balance of the rent and late fee had still not been paid. We did not charge the 3 days of July pro rated rent. We did take the rent and late fee out of the deposit which we typically do not do. We felt we worked with Mr. [redacted] and the communication was very clear and he agreed and knew what the status of the deposit and late fee was at the time he agreed to pay it. The late fee would have not been applied if Mr. [redacted] paid his last months rent on the 1st. Rental agreement is rent is due on the 1st late as of midnight of the 5th. We believe we tried to resolve this is in a fair and positive manner. Thank you, Preferred Property Management
