Complaint Information: valign="top"> To whom this may concern I believe the following complaint to be 100% inaccurate , when the [redacted] came to Precious Memories about five or so months ago with the horse Abby also known as First MoonThey came to me looking for help to help retrain their horse that had some issues with bolting and bucking and wanted someone to help their daughter reconnect with their horse once againAre agreement upon arrival was that Abby board would be $a month and this would include feeding twice a day, hay, grain and water, and a stall for inclement weather as for each paddock has a run in shelterBlanketing was also provided that was the boardees responsibilityTraining and lessons were separate at an additional costAbout a week after Abbys' arrival the daughter decided that she would like to take up soccer and therefore paid no interest in the horse and didn't visit her until about two and a half months later and at that time I confronted her and told her that her horse needed vaccines and need farrier care and her teeth floatedUnder state law with running a boarding facility you need to have a valid coggins, rabies and health certificate so I let the [redacted] know that with out these matters being taken care of they would need to take Abby elsewhereThey proceeded to get the vaccines done but none of the other routine things that were neededWhen the vet came the horse spooked and tossed the girl into the wall and tore down a door frameThis horses only contact in the past two and a half months was my own, therefore, the horse had now idea who the girl wasThe horse also underwent an injury where it needed to be inside a stall everyday for about a monthDuring this time the owners, [redacted] and daughter, didn't come out even once to see their horse or to care for the woundTheir board included routine care therefore additional care, like an injury was to be either done by them or to paid for extraThey did neitherWhile in the stall for the month, since they never came out, the horse became very aggressive towards our feeders and whoever went to take care of the animalAfter seeing this first hand we told the [redacted] that the horse needed to be hand grazed on a regular basis to exercise and get outThey still never came out nor showed that they cared so we had to make the decision to have the horse be turned out often then not because the liability for having an aggressive horse was to greatWhen Fall came the nights starter to get colder and still there has been no signs of the [redacted] , even after calling them for two weeks straight begging them to come take care of herI told them the horse needed her feet done and they kept saying that they couldn't get a farrier out so I offered them mine and even offered to set up their appointmentThe [redacted] finally agreed, but I had to drive out to their house to get the payment for the farrier for doing the horses feetMeanwhile I was fully caring for there horse supplying grain, hay and water and shelter and went above and beyond and supplied my own blankets and even supplied a halter too that I have a receipt for Another months went buy no sign of the [redacted] I made several attempts to contact them to see and invite them to the barn and try to get them more involved with their horseNothing happened with all my attempts until Christmas Eve when I received a message at 8pm from [redacted] demanding that I go bring her horse inside for her to visit itI kindly explained to her that it was degrees out and the horse was in a blanket I boughtI told her that it was a warm night had she had more then adequate shelterI also told her that I was at a family dinner and was not able to come out at that hour, that was when she went off with dozens of threats and messages, even going as far as calling the [redacted] and the police on meI openly invited them onto my propertyAll of them claimed that all my horses are in great conditionIt is CT state law that after days of non payment at a boarding facility the boarding facility has the right to put a lien on the horse that past payment is owed on [redacted] has received in the mail a past due bill over a months worth of board, their for a lien was put on the horse until full payment was madeThe [redacted] decided to not obey the law and remove their horse in the middle of the nightOne of the women that lives on property, also a morning feeder, went up to the barn to see what was going on when she saw car lights and commotion going on at the barn so light in the night [redacted] proceeded to act violently towards our worker that lives on propertyThe State Police from [redacted] * had to come out and control the situationThey saw [redacted] get aggressive towards the worker but intervened before anything got out of handEven after leaving the farm [redacted] continues to post threats and untrue things about the farm on multiple social media sitesThere are multiple police reports of [redacted] harassing myself and other people as wellSome of those other people are my riding students who are only years oldIt has gotten to the point where further legal action might have to take place in order to make [redacted] stopWith the State Police backing us, the [redacted] giving us great reports, [redacted] has no credibility in her complaintTherefore, she should stop any proceedings and leave the farm and its members alone Sent on: 1/14/12:43:AM
