I am the developer of the [redacted] Game Profiler software and Powerup Software is my own small company which I am the only employee. It is kind of a shame to have this advertising complaint against my small self-run company, but I do believe the customers complaint is invalid for the following reasons.1. The customer has cited the link below as the basis of the complaint. The comment at that link is a forum post made in 2009 and was not written by an employee of Powerup Software and therefore does not represent any statement from the company in any way. It seems the complaint is based on a statement made by someone that does not and has never worked for PowerUp Software, LLC. That comment was just a comment made by another [redacted] Game Profiler user and anyone can make a post on this forum. [redacted]The customer claims that the comments at that forum post contain a link that points to [redacted] driver, but in fact it does not and I encourage you to check the link yourself. It points to a different driver that can be used for the [redacted] controller.Even if the link had pointed to [redacted] instead, that is just one driver that can be used for the [redacted] controller to be detected by [redacted]. There is no need to use [redacted] with [redacted] Game Profiler in order to have it support the [redacted] controller, as the complaint alleges.As stated in 3 above, [redacted] Game Profiler does not require [redacted] and the link the customer claims points to [redacted] points to a different driver; however, because the customers complaint seems to revolve around [redacted] driver, I will note that to support the claim that [redacted] is purported to be a virus” the customer has pointed to [redacted] which is a user-editable [redacted] page that in no way represents an authority in malware. Furthermore, it does not seem to indicate anywhere on that page this it is a virus and in fact it only states that [redacted] may open a link to [redacted] in your browser (which this website labeled malware, but not a virus). I do not believe any malware authority, such as [redacted] Corporation, has deemed [redacted] as a virus or malware. Even if [redacted] were considered malware by an authority in malware, there is still no connection between the [redacted] software and the [redacted] Game Profiler software. Powerup Software, LLC did not create [redacted], nor does [redacted] Game Profiler require the [redacted] driver as the complaint alleges.Any device that connects to a [redacted] PC requires a driver. That includes joysticks, gamepads, keyboards, printers, and any other peripheral. [redacted] Game Profiler in no way requires you to install any driver as the complaint alleges. [redacted] requires you to install a driver in order to have [redacted] communicate with the device. [redacted] Game Profiler does not communicate with the driver, it only communicates with [redacted].
