I purchased Power Stop product K2163-on 12/6/18, the install was on 12/16/I followed break in procedures and noticed something was wrong with my brakesI had PepBoys look at the brakes on 12/18/18, they found nothing wrong with the installation and concluded the PowerStop product is defective because the brand new brake pad is 90% wornI've attached the inspection report from PepBoys, see "General Comments" sectionThe brake pad is 90% worn after driving the vehicle for less than miles, please replaceThe mechanic is unsure if the pad or the rotor is the cause of the problem, both sides drivers side and passenger side and inner outer have an issue
Purchased the Power Stop *** *** *** Sport brake kit for my *** ***Power Stop website www.powerstop.com claimed the kit included everything needed to replace the original front wheel brake system:
Hub/Rotor Assembly, ceramic brake pads, calipers, M12xstuds, clipsI volunteered my *** to a local high school career center to install the Power Stop kitI soon received a phone call from the career center that I also needed to provide the bearing hub assembly to complete the projectThe bearing hub assembly was supposed to be included and assembled on the rotors as stated on the companies website however it was not even in the kitCompany website is misleadingOnline company reviews seem phonyCustomer phone number to the Power Stop goes to an automated answering service requiring an extension number to proceed
Ordered a performance brake kit for my car from this company The brakes were advertised to be constructed with materials to resist rusting Within a few weeks some components started rusting The company stated this was normal When asked about the materials used to resist rust, the employee stated that the zinc coating applied to the components is removed by friction after applying the brakes during the first usage I feel that the advertisement is misleading Additionally, other portions of the brake components have started to rust that are outside of the brake pad friction area The employee stated that those components should be removed, cleaned, and painted with high-temperature paint I feel that this should not be required for brand new components that have only been on my vehicle for about three month and yet another indication that the parts are not constructed as advertised
I purchased a Zroad warrior brake kit and during installation discovered an issue with one caliperI called PowerStop, they requested pictures and upon receipt agreed, via email, to replace the caliperAlmost months later I am still not in receipt of a replacementThey have given many promised shipping dates, via email, they have all passed with no product being shippedThe last email received from *** *** at ***@powerstop.com reads; “there is no eta on when these calipers will be back in-stockThey are trying to source cores to make these calipers.” They are unable, or unwilling to replace my caliper,as they had agreed and are unwilling to allow a return of the entire kitOver the past several months I have communicated many times with *** *** at ***@powerstop.com after his email stating they had no idea when they might be able to replace the caliper I have written to explain the situation to the following individuals at Power Stop LLC; ***
This business sells defective products and does not provide the warranty coverage that they advertise
