Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for reaching out to Plumwood Apartments regarding the concern from a previous resident. We at Plumwood Apartments value our resident’s experiences while making Plumwood their home and our team works hard to make sure residents leave with fond memories. We are
truly sorry that this past resident feels the way she does about the balance owed on her accountDue to that, we investigated the charges placed on her account, her balance owed and subsequently what caused the account to be placed in collections. Please trust that this explanation was previously given to the resident and is supported by her signed lease.Our lease terms and agreements specifically state the lease start and end date. Even if a resident moves out early they are still responsible for their rental payments or an early lease termination fee. In addition, when rent/fees are not paid in a timely matter we charge a late fee. Furthermore, the lease terms and agreements state that the apartment must be left in a certain condition, including carpets cleaned; this is the additional fee. Unfortunately, these charges are real costs to the community and need to be paid by the resident that incurred those charges. The resident was informed of these charges and refused to pay them. I dont except this as a proper response to my complaint because there was an understanding that I would be moved out by the first of november and the manager would do a walk through with me. When it was time to do so the manager left in her car when I walk over to see her. At this apartment I was dealing with different animals (shunks , possums ,cats ,and raccoons)living under around my patio on walk way enter and attic area. I had to call code enforement on the property .Here are the compliant numbers 150720, 1507205660, and 1507205660. Attached are pictures of the floors .The apartment was left in good condition with little normal wear and tear.I have a walk through video but its to big to attach. I also have more photos of my old apartment and picutres of the code enforement repaires being made. It was in agreement for both parties for me to leave on the date I did! Due to the fact I give several written and verbal notices to do so. I don't owe this complex any money.
