Review: my car fix in this shop call Platinum Auto Collision, when they called me to pick my car and told me to pay them cash. I told them I need a record of proof that I fix my car. so, I issued a certified check from my bank, I take it to pay them. This place Platinum Auto Collision refused to take my certified check. They said they take cash only. I told them I can't carry $8,000 with me walking down on the street. I told them, we can take this check to your bank cash it out right-away, they reject it too. Now they still held my car, they don't let me take it because they want me to pay them cash. I wonder what is the matter not taking a certified check? They run this huge shop on the block, is every customer pay them in cash?Desired Settlement: is there any rule or law in nyc, business don't take certified check.
