We recently purchased a home that included an [redacted] warranty on the appliancesShortly after moving in the refrigerator freezer would not cool down to the set temperature [redacted] had a [redacted] technician out twice but after installing four new parts, the problem persistedThey then retained Pioneer Air Conditioning and Appliance Service (AKA Pioneer Repair Services, Inc.) to check on the problemI spoke with the owner, Greg, and reviewed what [redacted] had done so farGreg came out the following morning but when asked what he felt the problem may be, he replied that he would be calling [redacted] and I could expect to hear from either him or them later in the dayAfter not hearing from either one, I tried to call Greg the following day, the call went through to his voice mail, and left a message asking him to return my callI did speak with [redacted] later and was told that Greg reported the problem was a "manufacturer's defect" and as such was not covered for either repair or replacementHow very convenient for ***They would not, however, provide any specifics about the manufacturer's defectAs this is a six year old refrigerator, I would expect that if there was a manufacturer's defect, it would have shown up long before nowIt seems like an excuse for [redacted] to not provide coverageIn an effort to find out exactly what was reported to [redacted] I have left messages on Greg's voice mail and also emailed him at his company's published email address, none of which merited the courtesy of a responsePerhaps [redacted] told Greg not to respond to any questions I had, perhaps Greg cooperates with them to deny claims, perhaps he is simply a "grab the fee" and move on businessman who couldn't care less about customer satisfactionOn a scale of to 10, Pioneer Air Conditioning and Appliance Service is a and then only because was not an option
