Um, no… Not the best experience, but the customer service was nice First of all, I told them that I was getting an appraisal for a Tax Grievance on my house and confirmed the date it would be completed (when I would get the report)And one of the reasons I chose them was for the online status updates, which I later learned did not provide any real tracking infoIt pretty much just says it’s in process and when it’s completed, nothing of real detailed info in between to let you know what’s going onI could’ve simply checked my email for that Second, they knew what I was using the appraisal for and claimed to do appraisals for that purposeMeanwhile, in the appraisal to assess my home’s value they included short salesA big when you’re trying to argue the value of your home to the TownSo out of the Comps included, only of them was usefulIf they’re professionals at this wouldn’t they have known thatAnd I’m not even going to get into the fact that they added features to my home that were not present on the property (or any public records of the house, I don’t know where they got it from), so that was completely incorrect Lastly, I didn’t not get the appraisal on the confirmed dateThey claim to have a 24-turnaround time but that’s not the case at all, even having confirmed the turnaround specifically before purchase, in the end it took days (that’s 2-times longer than advertised)I didn’t even get a notification that it would be delayed (which would have been common courtesy)In fact, I didn’t hear anything about it until I contacted them about my non-existent, yet paid for, appraisal So all in all, I paid $for an appraisal the was utterly useless and nearly got me in trouble with the Town since it listed features that the home didn’t have Never, ever againFriendly when answering questions but I wouldn’t have them appraise a doll house
Um, no…
Not the best experience, but the customer service was nice.
First of all, I told them that I was getting an appraisal for a Tax Grievance on my house and confirmed the date it would be completed (when I would get the report). And one of the reasons I chose them was for the online status updates, which I later learned did not provide any real tracking info. It pretty much just says it’s in process and when it’s completed, nothing of real detailed info in between to let you know what’s going on. I could’ve simply checked my email for that.
Second, they knew what I was using the appraisal for and claimed to do appraisals for that purpose. Meanwhile, in the appraisal to assess my home’s value they included short sales. A big no-no when you’re trying to argue the value of your home to the Town. So out of the 4 Comps included, only 1 of them was useful. If they’re professionals at this wouldn’t they have known that. And I’m not even going to get into the fact that they added features to my home that were not present on the property (or any public records of the house, I don’t know where they got it from), so that was completely incorrect.
Lastly, I didn’t not get the appraisal on the confirmed date. They claim to have a 24-48 turnaround time but that’s not the case at all, even having confirmed the turnaround specifically before purchase, in the end it took 5 days (that’s 2-5 times longer than advertised). I didn’t even get a notification that it would be delayed (which would have been common courtesy). In fact, I didn’t hear anything about it until I contacted them about my non-existent, yet paid for, appraisal.
So all in all, I paid $250 for an appraisal the was utterly useless and nearly got me in trouble with the Town since it listed features that the home didn’t have.
Never, ever again. Friendly when answering questions but I wouldn’t have them appraise a doll house.
