Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2015/07/21) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX, [redacted] Contact Email: [redacted] @pickeringandco.com Mr [redacted] signed a lease agreement which expires on 7/25/Upon notification to the office that he needed to move out, the Property Manager ( [redacted] listed his apartment as available to leaseShe was able to assign someone to move into his apartmentBased on NC Landlord Tenant Law and the AANC Lease Agreement, once a new resident moves in and signs the lease agreement, the previous resident is no longer responsible for the property as of the day before the effective date of the new leaseUnfortunately this resident notified us that she would be unable to move in on her originally scheduled move in dateShe rescheduled her date and eventually did move in on July 8thThis makes Mr [redacted] responsible for the premises through July 7thUnfortunately we can only "attempt" to pre-lease available apartmentsIn no way can we force someone to move in or take possessionThis does relieve him of being financially responsible for the remainder of July, so this did prove to be of help to him financiallyWe do not feel that in any way we misrepresented or guaranteed Mr [redacted] anythingAgain, it would be impossible for us to guarantee that someone is going to move in/sign a leaseWe simply do our best to pre-lease vacant or available apartments as soon as we can
