To start of first, tractor has a tachometer that reads how many hours the engine has been run This is telling me *** doesn't know tachometer reads hours not days Mechanic assemble the long block Mechanic did not time the balancer which has a mark to crankshaft which in turn has a mark on it If not timed correctly to each other you will start having problems It is inherent in four cylinder, it's extremely important the the balancer is correctly time as a unit Problem previous from this, cylinder head leaking oil They fixed the problem with a silcon sealer Poor workman ship work temporary fixed)
Value cover started oil leak They gave me a new gasket Install it myself Cylinder head started leaking oil again and then the rear seal started leaking oil Problem corrected by another mechanic
Engine blalacer went out Another mechanic came to my house and found the problem Engine balancer found damaged Cause a lot of contamination in the engine This business does not have qualified mechanics nor technical manuals or software to do this kind of work They had to borrow my own manual I turn down his offer to fixed it for $and then he dropped down the price to $ Poor workmanship I took it on myself to fixed it My tractor is running good Except I might still have some contamination I want half of amount I paid for damages that were caused by *** *** ***.

Response to Complaint of [redacted] We [redacted] did rebuild most of the 239D engine for [redacted]’s 574 International Tractor. However...
we did not rebuild the part of [redacted]’s tractor that failed. The part in question is the balance shafts for the engine. [redacted] was told about rebuilding the shafts (we told him the shafts do fail but it is rare) he declined to rebuild the shafts because the rebuild of the engine was getting very costly. We also traveled out to [redacted]’s home to diagnose the problem for no cost, and offer to locate the part and repair the problem for free if he would just purchase the new part because the original was damaged too far beyond being repaired. The reason for the lengthy rebuild on his tractor was because when he originally brought the engine to us, the engine was so damaged that we had to send the cylinder block out of shop to get lined bore and the blocks thrust to be welded because of the spun main bearings. [redacted] was informed that this would need to be done when the engine was disassembled. We also had to locate a new crankshaft for his discontinued tractor engine. As far as engine running time [redacted] has had the engine for 6 months and told us it only ran 20 hours. Our offer to fix the problem still stands if [redacted] would purchase the replacement part.
