members pay for a membership, this fee is refundable should a member move out of our service area. The deposit is charged to members based on their credit worthiness. We use a third party company that performs a “soft” credit check with Experian credit agency as well as an identity check. This agency checks credit standings with other utilities. The deposit amount is based on the type of service that is requested (residential or commercial). The deposit amount can be increased during the time of service, if the service is interrupted for non-payment and it is determined that the initial deposit is not sufficient to properly cover the usage. The account is reviewed every 12 months and if there has been no more than two late notices and zero disconnections for non-payment, the deposit is refunded to the account. The deposit is billed on the first bill (and it is itemized) and the membership is billed separately. We allow payment arrangements or allow an alternate “prepay” service which allows the deposit to be waived (a member pays for their usage in advance). The membership fee cannot, according to our bylaws be waived. Prior to a disconnect we notify our members (and pending members) using an automated dialer and a personal call to remind them of an unpaid membership or broken payment arrangement(s). We also record our calls. Should the Revdex.com or [redacted] have any other questions, please feel free to contact me at [redacted]. Thank you, Christy I[redacted] Director of Member Services
