Review: I ordered a mother of the bride dress from Peneventures on 8/31/12. I was asked to pay in full when ordering the dress which I did. I went to the store to follow up on the dress order in early December and found the doors closed with no inventory in the store. I was quite upset and called the number listed for Peneventures. There was a message stating that they are no longer in business. I have left several messages on the business phone number for a return call with no response. I either want my money back or the dress that was being made for me. My daughter is getting married in April 2013 and I have no idea if this dress will be available. Without a response I will need to order another dress to be sure I have one for the weddingMy complaint is that I gave them full payment for a dress that I may never receive. A courtesy call to me would be appreciated to know what they plan on doing regarding their commitment to provide me with this dress.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the dress I paid in full or to receive the dress I purchased.
Review: My mother, [redacted], purchased a mother of the bride dress through this store in April. I was with her at the time and purchased a pair of shoes for myself for my wedding. We were asked to pay in full (about $800 for the dress) and told that we'd be contacted when the dress came in, which we were told would take about 4 months. After hearing nothing, my mom contacted the store at the end of September and couldn't get a hold of anyone. She stopped by the store and in the middle of the day they were closed. There was a bright pink sign on the door that stated they were closed because their license was suspended by the tax commissioners office. She finally heard back from them and they told her that her dress was in and that she could come and pick it up. When she did, she noticed that they had ordered her a short dress instead of a long dress, which was clearly stated on the receipt. They said that it was their fault and that they'd take care of it. My mom tried calling them back to see if it would take another 4 months and no one answered. I happen to be over by the store a week later and noticed that they were closed and had the same sign on their door. My mom has tried calling and calling for months. She leaves voicemails on the company phone as well as the cell phone number that the manager gave her. No one will answer or return her calls. Their voicemail states that they will get in contact with everyone that has made a purchase but it's getting to the point where if there is another issue or this goes on for much longer then my mom will not be able to purchase and alter a dress prior to my wedding. There are also posts on their facebook page from other customers that can't get in contact with them and that have ordered and paid in full for merchandise that they aren't receiving.Desired Settlement: We would like to hear from someone immediately. We'd like to know what the status of the dress is and if they can't provide answers or stay in contact with us then we'd like a full refund so that we can purchase the dress somewhere else.
