On behalf of Peak Communications, I have attached a response to the complaint of [redacted] *** Sincerely, [redacted] , Attorneyfor Peak Communications

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The first bill I ever received was around January this year, it stated that they were taking over for AT&T billing So this is nonsense! Regardless, the main problem is that I called them and AT&T when I received the first bill and asked AT&T to reinstate me and asked Peak to remove me as their customer! They have not done so I don't need verifications or excuses, I just want to be removed and never contacted by Peak again! Regards, [redacted] ***

takes Ms. [redacted]’s allegations seriously and regrets that a misunderstanding has apparently occurred with this consumer. Peak Communications strongly condemns sales misrepresentations and has safeguards in place to prevent them from occurring. Peak Communications believes that it has complied with all applicable statutes, rules, and regulations in this matter, as detailed below and submits that the long distance service for this customer was changed with the customer's informed consent.  Peak Communications is a corporation duly organized under the laws of California, and is a reseller of telecommunications services pursuant to the terms of federal and several state authorizations. Peak Communications offers its customers flat-rate long distance services with convenient, single-bill billing. Peak Communications markets its services through professional telemarketing agents. Peak Communications takes thorough steps to ensure that all agencies contracted by it for marketing purposes properly represent its identity, products, and services.  These steps include strict adherence to selling guidelines, independent third-party verification, and welcome packages for all new sales. Further, Peak Communications will terminate its contract with any marketing agency not adhering to its strict standards.  All Peak Communications’ sales obtained through telemarketing are verified by an appropriately qualified and independent third party verification service pursuant to Section 64.1120 of the Federal Communication Commission's Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 64.1120. Peak Communications does not compensate verification services based upon a successful outcome of the verification process. Peak Communications' verification service for this sale was Capitol Verification a provider of verification services located at P.O. Box 1641, Superior, Wisconsin 54880.  Following verification, a Welcome Package, which includes a welcome letter and a notice of all terms and conditions, is mailed to the customer.
