To whom it may concern, In regards to the matter that was brought to your attention by the client in question on the 22nd of JuneWe would like to state our side of the storyWhen the appointment was made by Client she was informed of the fact that we do not take any debit
or credit cardsAs well as when she came into the establishment there is a sign that is posted on the counter that states we only take Cash or checksShe informed us that all she had was a *** *** and that is how she ALWAYS paid for things when it came to the dogShe was informed that she could see about pulling cash out at a ATM or to go and purchase something from a local Pharmacy chain that was just up the street if she wanted toShe left and upon returning said that she was not able to pull cash out either way from the bank or after a purchaseShe was allowed to postdate a check till the 2nd of July even though it is Illegal to write postdate checksShe told us that her account was in the hole on that day so if she received funds any earlier that she would contact the establishment and let us knowThe check was held until the 30th and with the upcoming holidays and after checking with the bank to see if the funds where there the check was cashed As for the regards to her dog being in the back and not in the play area out frontThe pens that we have out front are only 2' tall and as much as the puppy was jumping around when on the table we did not want him to jump out of the play pen area and have run of the shopIt was a safety issueSo yes, he was placed in the kennels in the back roomYes, he was whining and barking once he heard her voiceThe word "Horrible" was Never used to describe her puppyShe asked how he had done and it was stated that he was quite a hand full and was quite a challenge to do on the table. The client had also stated that her dog had been groomed with two other groomers and that she was not happy with the cut of the dog when she got him backThe puppy in question was months old at the time of service and had only been groomed three times (counting this groom) since she had had the puppy from weeks of age. We do not know what the other groomers had stated however we do believe that honesty is the best policyAs for the statement of her saying that she was told that the dog had ADHD...what was stated was that the puppy's attention span was all over the place and it was quite difficult to do things with each thing that the puppy saw he would moveAlso that the puppy was VERY Squirmy and active on the tableShe was informed that there was a nail that was "quicked" a bit short and that we did use the quick stop on it to keep it from bleedingIt was NOT bleeding excessively nor did it continue to bleedIt was due to the fact of the way that the puppy acted on the table that the nail was quickedIt can happen. She was informed of his belly area being a bit red due to the clippers maybe getting a bit warmWe do have a spray that is used to try and keep the blade from being to warm but the puppy was jumping around and squirming all overShe states that "Clippers getting to hot" and was asked if she took the dog to the vet, and she said "NO"As for pulling the hair out of the puppy's earsYes, with the type of breed that he is there is hair that grows inside the ear that has to be plucked out of themThat was the hair that was "pulled" out of his earsAs for it being stated that she was to pull harder that was incorrectWhat was stated was that to help desensitize the puppy to things being pulled and tugged on by us was to while playing with the puppy when grabbing his ears during play that if he tried to pull away to hold onto the ears until the puppy stops pullingThe same was stated about the puppy's paws as well that when playing with him when grabbing his paws to hold onto the puppy's paws and not to let go until he quit pullingIt becomes a game to him and if you let go before he stops pulling and yanking the puppy or dog has won and will continue to do so which makes it harder for other things to be done at a vets office or other places of business. As for needing to muzzle the puppy to get things done to his feet and to trim the nailsYes, He was muzzled because of the fact that it again was a safety issue on him hurting his teeth when trying to grab the clippers or the cord when he was groomedThere are "E" collars that were used before the muzzle that the puppy was able to continue to get off from around his headHe is still a puppy and can be taught but has to have consistency with boundaries and guidelinesShe did ask specifically if her puppy was overly hyper for this type of breed of dogShe was informed that there is no set hyperness for any breedThat her puppy was quite hyper though and maybe in time he might settle downAs for the way that he puppy acted "aggressive"That was not the case when she picked him upHe was very excitable and seamed to be very happy with tail wagging and squirmyI do find it quite opposite from the fact of him "hovered" in a corner as she has stated in her claim. As for the amount that she was quoted or statedThe amount was gone over with her at the time of the drop off of the puppyand she also added on nail filing and that's an extra costwe was also charged an extra handling fee because it took more than one groomer and that's something we don't know at check inThe client had also stated that this was her very first dog in the conversation. The client WAS refunded her money for the services she received on the 20th of June on the 3rd of July
