Knowing that our family's beloved pet was terminally ill, making a plan for what would happen to him after he passed became imperative. I googled, as so many people would, and found Paw to Angels. After I looked through website and read reviews I decided to call and meet the owner, [redacted], in order to make the final decision to use her services. From the second I met [redacted] I was very comfortable with her being the final caretaker of my sweet boy. She exuded a caring, compassionate, and calm demeanor and absolute confidence in her facility.
She is a certified pet loss counselor and has a thorough knowledge of the process of grieving a pet. She was with us every step of the way at our pets end. The dignity she gave him was exactly what I wanted for my little man, it was what he deserved. We were aware of exactly what would happen to him after he passed. We were left with several very important mementos such as a paw print, half of a ceramic heart that he wore through his cremation (the other half stayed with me), and locks of fur.
We were also offered a private viewing, something that I had not even considered prior, but found so incredibly important afterword. He looked so peaceful, it was something I will never forget. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is accepting the illness or old age of their loving companion, or to someone whose pet passed suddenly. If there is no time to think, you can rest assured that this is the place to take your pet for their final preparations.
I called Paws to Angels when our dog passed away. I left the vet with him in my arms and took him to [redacted]. He was cleaned up, brushed and fussed over. A couple of days after his death I was able to spend time with him (a viewing) which allowed me to pet him, talk to him and see him one last time in a more positive environment. He looked like he was sleeping with his head on a pillow. I decided to have him cremated and [redacted] took care of everything. For those who love their pets like family the grief can be overwhelming and the ongoing support she provides is great. She also offers a bi-monthly support group you can attend and meet others who are going through the same process and learn you are not the only person who cared so deeply for your animal.
