Review: I've received a bill from the doctor's office on or around 07/**/14 and sent the letter reposted below on or around 07/**/14 outlining all the issues: Case [redacted] Im disputing the amount of your bill due to following reasons;1.I was led to believe that youre a participating member in my insurance network and as a consequence misinformed of the true cost of your service.2.Your bill does not account for payments Ive made both prior to and after the procedure. 3.The service was unsatisfactory and lacking. I first contacted your office by phone to check on schedule availability and if my insurance would be accepted. Upon positive response, the appt was scheduled on 04/**/14. At this point your office was aware of the type/group/network and other details of my particular insurance. No one informed me that youre not a participating provider and I was only asked to pay some miscellaneous not covered by insurance. My son- [redacted], the patient had an infected toe due to ingrown nail. Following the procedure the toe seemed to be healing well and his condition improving, however a couple weeks later his toe was swollen, red and purulent again.Naturally Ive made an appt and came back to your office. This time I was informed right upon arrival that you do not accept my insurance. Moreover, [redacted]- the medical provider , who first performed the procedure now engaged in something I can only describe as haggling over his past due payment. He demanded a good faith payment to proceed with any treatment, but upon receiving it simply dismissed us with it doesnt look so bad and can wait a few days diagnosis.Perhaps this is how all of your customers are treated and my case is not different than any other.Id like to think not.I hope to resolve this matter in a fast and amicable fashion. I've received no response from the office until today, 09/**/14 - a copy of the same bill with additional $42 added for "lateness".Desired Settlement: As I expressly asked in my letter - a corrected bill, some kind of resolution, at the minimum the amount already paid should be deducted.
